We had it in the Mid East for about a year now. A fully optioned Azera goes for about 40,000$. For those saying it looks like a Sonata, trust me it doesnt in real life especially in the rear.
@minibus1351 Genesis is more powerful (333hp V6 and 429 5.0 V8) and it has RWD. Hyundai claims it to be a sports sedan (not really, I've driven it and the steering is way too numb). The Azera should be less expensive (I'm guessing a starting MSRP of about 32K) and it will be a FWD platform with a smoother, more "cushiony" ride to compete against the Avalon, and by a stretch, the Taurus.
One things for sure though, they're staying true their premium value brand image, which is great.
@minibus1351 From what I know, Azera is FWD and Genesis is RWD.. Also the Genesis has a V8 option. The azera is also more fuel efficient being FWD, but less performance powered compared to the Genesis.
The prices starts at $32000 and goes up to $36000 for the fully loaded one.

what's the difference between this and the Genesis sedan in terms of where they stand?

@minibus1351 well this car should be less expensive. the Azera usually competes with the Avalon, Taurus, and Maxima.
