It's the sequel. It uses most of the same characters, but the layout of the island is different and there's 2 new marriage candidates. And I think there's more things different, but I cant think right now...

AW dammit. D: I think the harvest moon series is amazing. But, Natsume really needs to stop making these small expansion packs called "sequels" that really only add a few new characters and a little bit of this and that and keeps the whole storyline and environment the same. It really ticks me off. Seriously. I really don't like wanting to buy a newer version that's really pretty much the same. I want an absolute complete version.  And thus, i'll be skipping IOH and waiting for SS&F.

Actualy, Marevalous interactive is the one who makes the games, and natsume is the localizer for the Harvest Moon games in america. Yeah, I wish they would stop doing that to, but the games are stil fun.
