  • sounds good! love it

  • Compareed to the "sounds" of Neptune, Saturn, Jupiter, Earth and the Sun -Mecury's radiowaves sounds absolutely strange.

  • @hommedterre1 Could you imagine the impact of the sun's impact on Mercury's magnetosphere? Yes, it does have one, barely though.

  • Dubstep again???

  • Sounds like she's complaining about the Sun.

  • So couldn't we say it's also the sounds of waves from the rest of the universe wrapping around and bouncing off mercury?

  • mercury say : ohhhh its sooo hot plz give sun lotion :D

  • Mercury has no atmosphere, so the sound cannot be wind or whales. What the answer is, it is still a mystery.

  • @4M1000 ...no. It's the magneticfield converted into soundwaves.

  • @4M1000 actually there is wind on mercury... its just the solar wind that is.

  • @4M1000 Mercury does have an atmosphere, just a very, very thin one.

  • There are movement on planets they have winds there idiots

  • That's really wild ! I did not know that there are Whales on Mercury !

  • FARTING

  • Light and Sound are one :D

  • Maybe There's an alien partying in the mercury.. :l

  • @JackRooney821 nah bro venus is where the party scenes at /watch?v=lIZPpLbYPzU

  • @rememberthisoneyo owh... i just watch that :P

  • We are coming

  • i know right

  • sounds like Transformers live there

  • Sounds like a convergence lol from DS

  • creepy spider rocks trying to make contact.

  • it's called interstellar winds

also it sorda sounds like Justin Beiber

  • its just the wind ya'll. its like in The Village. they used wind pipes to make the people think that there were scary animals out in the forest... its just the wind

  • i think this is just the mic going crazy with song interfeerence, planets can't make sounds, can they?

  • @adzii1 This is the magnetic waves emanating from the planet, picked up by special detectors that convert it into sound waves audible to the human ear. So, they technically can :)

  • @Ramothka ohhhh

  • @adzii1 And I absolutely did not know that there are Electromagnetic Whales on Mercury at all ! Who would have thunk such a thing ?

  • @1anearthling1 Well, i don't know shit about space and waves or anything, just a thought that something could be interfeering with the microphone, like other planets, etc..

  • @adzii1 Sound is a relative term, you're hearing electromagnetic radio wave signals put off by the planet, recorded and converted into audible sound, whether its solar wind, geothermal shifting, its still interesting.

  • @r3wcifer oooohh

  • Jesus christ monkey balls! :O

  • I'm not going to be able to sleep tonight.

  • :35 ok who farted

  • Pretty Music! :D

  • Well.. for a few minutes... I felt like I was on Mercury. Vast rocky nothing... only the wind howling through the nothingness. You can walk as far as you like in whatever direction you want, but you wont find anything... just more nothing, and the same wind howling. Everything you love is ON ANOTHER PLANET, and even if you could somehow travel space, the people you love would have died by time you got back, anyway.

Most likely that's not what it's like on Mercury, but that's where I was.

  • The sound of death

  • It's... it's Unicron!! DUN DUN DUN DUN NEENENENE!!

  • Comment removed

  • Luke i am your father

  • If mercury were a human, had this kind of voice, and a singer, then maybe it'd be chased by the girl teenagers, not that "bieber" alien creature who came from the planet X LOL

  • @streetmusisiguru LOL! JUSTIN BIEBERS AN ALIEN FROM JUPITAR

  • @Mariowitfanoobsond That's an insult to Planet Jupiter.

  • @GalaxiaStars ok fine hes from nibru XD

  • Dude... what would YouTube be without these comments... I just love them... ponies... lol...

  • sounds like a jet farting.

  • OK, now i know the sound of mercury, of the sun, of venus, of saturn, of pluton, but... how it`s the sound of the earth ? :S

  • I feel like I'm being exorcised.

  • ANCIENT. FUCKING. ALIENS.

  • aliens

  • this is just justin bieber taking a shit in slow motion

  • Our universe is trying to tell us something.

All we have to do is listen <3

    Namaste

    Wonderful video <3

  • The end of the video started to make my right ear feel funny.

  • Mercury "sounds" just plain wrong lol.

  • sounds like wind.

  • @elgaed69 *slaps* NOH. JUST--JUST NOH.

  • This sound, it's... it lives...

    Mercury.. is Giygas... :O

  • @ChronoSquare ness.....

  • @ChronoSquare nicely said.. it lives

  • It sounds just like a guy rollerblading down a really fast hill with a microphone brushing on his jacket. :P cool planet sounds!

  • @CaptainHenroyMorgan A fast hill?! That's awesome! I've never seen a hill move, let alone move quickly!

  • Poor lonely Mercury...

  • Sounds creepy

  • thats my £100 head phones wrecked

  • looks like anyone on that planet would be really thirsty... wonder if they serve beer on mercury

  • The mercury is hot, cuz it's closest planet to the sun.

  • Lol mercury has been having burritos!:D

  • IS this panned all the way to the left? It makes my ear tickle... (Headphones)

  • WTF!!! VOLCANO! EVERYBODY RUN LIKE H***

  • mercury has bad gas

  • I'm scared now ):

  • the buzz in this recording and the cchhhhoooor sound is interference from the sun

  • What if that wasn't the planet but passing spaceships? Sounds like an interstellar highway at night.

  • @wokabomb

    what are you on

  • @wokabomb You're a dumbass. Nuff' said

  • scary

  • idk why but for some reason i almost kinda expected a screamer at the end

  • sounds like hell!

  • @MajorLogica Is there a certain pattern in the sun's sound, or is it completely random?

  • This makes me want to go to Mercury for the sole purpose of shitting my pants.

  • @toddalina1 lowest temp is like minus 249 celcius, and mercury aint cold, its effin close to sun.

  • There is no sound in space. Radio waves... rather any kind of light wave..... can be converted to sound. When done so, your get weird sounds that are nothing more than random oscillations in wavelength and amplitude... in Mercury's case, since there's not much of a magnetic field, the sounds are like echoes of the Sun form Mercury's surface.

  • Thumbs up if you came from reddit!!!

  • @DiscountPeople FUCK YEAA

  • This sounds like a track from "cryosleep" an old internet radio station with a "no beats guarantee"

  • @neocon70 you are motherfucking retarted. read the description of the fucking video.

  • sounds like the sound of the earth

  • looks like I'm not sleeping now

  • Like dead space 2

  • THIS VIDEO

    THEREFORE ALIENS

  • Listen with your headphones on :P

  • @MasterEmilian08 I am , and its distorted , and sounds almost like something slowed down way too much and over recorded. Im not saying its fake at all, im just saying what it sounds like to me.

  • Sounds like some guy ate 1 million bowls of baked beans

  • It sounds like wind. Lawl.

  • Is it just me or does it seem like the picture of the planet surface is moving subtly?

  • why the pan from left to right? editing? fake?!

  • @em4rulz Dammit, now I feel like a dumbass.

  • God is a Spirit that does not lie....he created all things seen and unseen for His Glory so that we will praise Him

  • @byrd349

    He's an egotistical prick then.

  • i did i get here from mw3?

  • My guess is due to Mercury's lack of atmosphere, it sounds like a barren wasteland

  • Whaa whaa, I am scared mommy. Make that bad sound go away.

  • sry i had gas

  • How the fuck did I get here from ponies?

  • @Snovurr My quess is you were researching my little pony with the trail of magical stars following behind the little fella and wound up here. : )

  • @Snovurr why tha fuk you like ponies ?

  • @jmecrg I'm a pony and i find that comment offensive .

  • @kairixmeforever ok sorry lil pony

  • @jmecrg he's a 4chan faggot

  • @Snovurr Why were you looking up ponies in the first place?

  • @Snovurr sometimes i lay on the floor and pretend im a carrot

  • @lfm8541 i stand here pretending i am a lemon

  • @lfm8541 i sometimes sit in a tree and pretend to be a apple

  • @lfm8541 LMFAO!!

  • @Snovurr Ponies? Are you a Bronie?

  • @Snovurr Maybe because you're still living in fantasy island...

  • There can't be any sound in space because there are no molecules to vibrate. Vibrating molecules are what causes sounds. This is fake, space is completely, 100% silent.

  • @guitarhero1346 Fail. It's not sound waves, it's radio waves. They get detected by humans and are converted and produced as sounds the same way any radio broadcast is; that is, through a vibrating diaphragm i.e. the speaker. Please learn something about science before you post.

  • @em4rulz You seem pretty knowledgeable. These sounds that have recently been recorded by mobile phones, cameras and other recording equipment from earth of low humming sounds, is it possible to hear the sounds our planets make from the surface? Or could there be another explanation.. Say, spacequakes? Sorry it this is a stupid question :/

  • @guitarhero1346 Calm down there Stephen Hawking, these are radio frequencies that each planet produces and converted into sound. So just put the PhD down and enjoy.

  • Creepy probably aliens shopping there enemy's head off or masturbating

  • The aliens' mobile phones keep dialing us in their pockets...fucking touch screens -__-

  • that may be radiation waves

  • Sounds like a Pink Floyd album...

  • Justin Beiber sounds worse

  • This is not scary at all for me.

    The reason?

Music I listen to daily are like this or even worse.

  • Note to self; Mercury is home to Cthulhu...

  • yep i agree. creepy. @Cronotfalcon i havent got to hear it yet. but i have heard recordings of the sun. so if it sounds like that. i'd recognize it when i hear it. if this sounds are still going on.

  • In stereo where available.

Seriously, can sensors do stereo? :D

  • i wonder if those strange sounds being heard around the world are maybe being generated in space. there are a few things i found so far that sounds like it. 1 the sun except there is no smashing noise, and the sounds being recorded from a magnet sounds so much like it except i only got videos of tiny magnets, if it were large scale like unbelieveably i think it would sound exactly like those sounds being heard around the world.

  • cool!!

  • Sounds like wind

  • @SlimDog2968 thank Zeus I'm not the only one!!!!!

  • These sounds made my leg have a muscle spasm.

  • am i the only one who hears a spaceship taking off and then the tardis dematerializing?

  • The next step would be converting these signals cymatically and observing the results. Astounding, I'm sure.

  • Holy crap O_0 try listening to it with ear phones on!

  • @OMGBubbles98 headphones with bass control. let the nightmares begin.

  • It's fake. Sound doesn't travel in space. Sound vibrates air, which is how we hear it. Sound can travel through anything that can vibrate, but space is a vacuum, nothing to vibrate. Also mercury has no atmosphere, so there is nothing for sound to vibrate on the planet either.

  • @thispoorguy well, you should have read the description. This isn't from a microphone. It's radio signals being produced by the planet that are then converted to sound...so, yeah...you really should read before you post. and not only that, have you ever been in space? How do you know what truly exists in space? What about dark matter and dark energy? NOTHING is empty...nothing...

  • @merkabah47 No, when those signals are converted to sound it's static. NASA came up with a way to convert data they received from the sun into sound, but it can only convert date from light, so if you get light data from mercury, it'll be the exact same data as you got form the sun, as it's just light bouncing off the planet. These sounds are fake.

  • @thispoorguy Electromagnetic radiation. Radio waves. How do you think astronauts communicate in space?!

  • @thispoorguy What you are hearing is the minor fluctuations in Mercury's magnetic field, caused by the ever changing molten interior. These radio waves are converted to an audible format that we can hear. I don't know how you got the idea that they were converting light to audio; pulled out of your ass most likely.

  • this planet is dying, the sun constantly burn one of his face, imagine u sit on a grill :b

  • sounds like this should be the Ambient sound of "The End" on Minecraft...

  • so THATS where the dinosaurs went XP

  • Mercury you're so cool! Love your song!!!!

  • sounds like the communication between my lovers~

  • sounds like the earth sounds with the horns but this is in space

  • fuck..were are the proof...

    i can say im jesus.

  • this is it. this is the terrible secret of space

  • these stranges sounds came in fact from the satelite itself, exept for the deeeep space sound.

    So dont be worried :)

  • Planets are such hipsters...

  • demons live inside mercury.............so true! half way to hell.........the sun is hell

  • @eddy783 shut up...

  • this is even creepier with studio headphones on

  • @TheEvilAvacado lol, right? I'm wearing headphones right now and all I can say is this sound is very spooky and disturbing.

  • If only you could see the howling face of the Sun, as Mercury does, would you understand what this means.

  • Insert Sunn O))) joke here.

  • Fucking hipster planets GTFO!

  • Sounds like some one is trying to shit -_-

  • This should be the music for a new monster in Amnesia.

  • How is it possible to be able to record the sound of Mercury when they've never been there? Explain me.

  • @pk9dragon88 The sounds are X-ray data from GRS 1915+105, translated into audible pulsations by MITs Edward Morgan.

  • @pk9dragon88 How do we know you don't have shit for brains if we've never seen the inside of your head?

  • @wildbill6976 What´s the reason for you to change the subject into me and leave the main subject alone?

  • @pk9dragon88

I have no idea, plz tell me when you find out!, oh wait, maybe we have already been, DUN DUN

  • wow!

  • it sounds like death then dogs barking then just random demonic noises

  • There are two explanations to this.

    Aliens or ancient aliens.

  • @DrWizardPhD three radio waves bounce back from the peaks and craters
