funny - i know all these streets by heart --- and this jewish quarters:
there used to be a whole jewish city up to ~1865, they demolished it only the synagogues had been left before they and built modern jugendstil ...
and you also discovered and saw the huge stalin-statue with yoiur astral eye!

@chechtube some call it astral eye, some call it wikipedia:D nice to hear from you, good you told me that fact, got not really a idea about the history of the jewish city, only what the guidebook says to me.
ps: guidebooks are not very communicative :D

I have a book with a bunch of old pics of this quarter (called Josefov after Joseph II) from 1860something -- lovely!
