My bones are popping out of my feet were she/ he got the work done, it's very painful, will I need to have something like this done to remove access bone? :"(
Thank you for this surgical look into the foot. Also I like to add for all you who said eww, that just meant why you should not be into surgery. I also like this because I have always been fascinated with the thought that changing a foot size will be possible. I would like to say that if there is a surgeon that has not discovered this. I would like to add I want to be first so I can change all those feet to the size they love. Go Body modification!
that guy appears to be dead :S .. notice.. no blood .. and the skin is so pale .. or what do you think .. im not a doctor or anything but i've seen surgeries.. :/
There is no blood because the surgeons use a tourniquet (similar to a blood pressure cuff) on the lower leg. You can safely cut off arterial circulation to a limb in this way for around 90-120 minutes.
the feet and hands definitely have muscles atreyu797. Adductor hallicus, flexor digitorum brevis, extensor digitorum longus, etc. are muscles of the feet. The hand has similarly analogous muscle. No slicing open major vessels in surgery, and in addition clamping vessels restrict flow to the limb and inhibits blood loss
pins most likey. If nothings dislocated they probably wont even fuse the joint. I broke something like all my metarsals )except for my pinky toe) and a little bit of my cuboid. They just fused my entire foot.

For all our advancements in medical technology, it appears still barbaric and crude.

Is it just me or does that foot look rubber/plastic? That would also explain the blood question.
