@Tihbialdunav They knew one another since their ballroom days 18 years ago (as of now), but during DWTS 7 (Sept/Oct. 2008 - when Maks was paired with Misty May-Treanor), they started a relationship which eventually turned into 'something else'. What Maks wanted, she didn't (she wanted to be a Hollywood star and he wanted a wife and kids). After 15 years of friendship, everything has ceased altogether, but they remain business-like and pleasant on the set of DWTS for all to see.
