Yes Cloud was miserable,but he was very real and true..i mean really take in what those experiences had on him..the impact..i would be like Cloud if those things were to happen to me..I love Cloud forever

And revenge implies satisfaction for the act of giving retribution to those who deserve it, and I don't see Cloud receiving satisfaction or peace of mind or happiness out of killing Sephiroth (no matter how many times he did it in the game, hahaha...) You mean "avenge"...

@anumoli It actually all depends on perspective. In my opinion, Cloud really loved Tifa, if you look at how concerned he was for her after he stabbed Sephiroth, but after Zack died, he basically "became" Zack as well as himself, and therefore subconsciously loved Aerith and that really started to show when he met her. The story is truly sad because Aerith would only ever love Zack, and Cloud could never really "be" with her, but no longer loved Tifa, who obviously still loves him.

@LoneStarImmortal yeah i think cloud was so overcome with love for aerith that his love for tifa was fading away, and both cloud and tifa knew it, so cloud went kinda emo and tifa's sorta like thinking, "maybe we'll never be together like that, but we'll always be a family" and i think that makes cloud happy

@anumoli He does like her but she liked him as a close friend (And maybe could have loved him cause he seemed so much like Zack almost) but then again she died (Damn you Sephiroth) and also Tifa's been Cloud's friend since they were kids. If I were cloud I'd go for the girl that's been my friend since childhood

@javiere1990 Yes he is the most miserable but that also makes him very human cause how often do you see a hero so miserable? They say Cloud is a weakling and I agree cause pretty much he is but thats one reason why we all love him so much is cause his being weak is what makes him so realistic and that makes him one of a kind. :)

@YourProblem1 Exactly, and his weakness also becomes strength at times. And I heard the director of Square Enix officially call him very weak, but that just gives him something most hero's don't have. He's able to relate to people's pain and suffering because of his own, and something like that also saved Denzel's life or else he wouldn't have taken him in.

@YourProblem1 that is exactly why i get so mad when people down cloud so much, i mean most of us would be in a catatonic state if we'd seen or expireanced half of the stuff Cloud has in his lifetime, or even (as cloud had done) made an alter ego for ourselves to keep the pain away...

@javiere1990 He was named Cloud Strife for that reason. Cloud as in miserable weather, and then the word strife is self-explanatory.
