Having a baby at 18 isn't the issue, it's having unprotected sex when you know you aren't ready for children, no matter what age you are. And then dealing with whatever consequences result.

I got pregnant at 16 and a junior in highschool, no i never got married to my baby's father b/c i don't believe in marriage b/c of that, you should love the person who you marry. I finished school, went to college, earned my own money and bought my own equine stables and made something out of myself.  Just b/c you are young and have a baby doesn't mean you have to give up your dreams you just have to work harder than everyone else!

You are blessed to have had the help of your mother, not a lot of girls can say the same. Would you have been able to raise this child on your own, with out the help of your mother? Can you imagine going thru it alone? That is all that she ment. I'm a mother of two children born to the same birth mom, who at 16 did drugs and alcohol. They are paying the price for it now. Can you tell my children have special needs? No. They look 'normal' it's their brains that have been scrambled.
