@EmstCntRob smg's are designed for close quarters combat. yes, they can pick off targets at medium and long ranges when in the hands of a skilled marksman, but their optimal range is up close where they can do the most damage. if you're going to comment, maybe you should be the one thinking about "doing it right."

@ElHyperion yes, you have to play online on a ranked server in order to unlock weapons. i'm not sure about being able to use them in SP/LAN games however.

BTW The first weapon is named FAMAS in game and PKM is not a LMG. It is a HMG.

@Falconoflife if you look at the video you'll see that i did name it the famas, the title is hard to see because it's on a white background. also, the PKM is not a heavy machine gun, it is considered a squad automatic weapon and therefore a light machine gun primarily operated by infantry. it can be mounted as a turret, but it is considered a light machine gun.

@Falconoflife The pkm is not a heavy machine gun. The term heavy machine gun originated in World war 2 to described weapons that had a big, heavy and robust build like the m2 browning. the pkm is light machine gun as it is a squad based support weapon, so it has to be light and easy to opperate.

@eelisful actually, i think he might be right. the m203 is the name of the grenade launcher attached to the m16. i thought the whole weapon itself was called the m203, but when i googled it i found that the m203 is just the name of the grenade launcher. so it's a mistake on my part for labeling the weapon incorrectly.

@Chriz419 well here's the thing, the only battlefield games available on ps3 are bad company 1 and 2. the bad company battlefield games are totally different. the original games with just battlefield in the title are PC only. unfortunately, there is no battlefield 2 for PS3 or consoles, battlefield 1942, battlefield vietnam, battlefield 2, and battlefield 2142 are all battlefield games that are PC only. so really, there's no real console version of the battlefield games.

actually there is bf 1943 which is pretty much a smaller arcade remake of the orginal bf, bf1942. However its still a spinoff of the main bf games but its still fun to play :)

@LegoForever89 yes, i am aware of the errors you have specified, however since you and many others seem capable of identifying them for yourselves i'm not going to fix them with annotations or anything. it was late when i made this so i named the weapons according to the site that had each of the weapons on it, which i later discovered to be unreliable. and as for the shotguns and smg's, i figured it would be redundant to do a separate category with only three weapons in it.

the m240 is wrong its an m-16 used in the vietnam war newer versions are better, better acuracy, and firepower, also its not an rpk its an RPD

@GhostAssasin100 those were the weapon names according to the battlefield 2 site that had all of the weapons so yeah i made a mistake on the m240 since i wasn't paying attention. as for the rpd it is an rpk 7 since an rpd has a box to hold its ammunition but an rpk 7 is drum fed. plus the rpk 7 looks more like an ak47 but with a longer barrel and a drum clip on the bottom while the rpd does not look like an ak47. so you were half right.
