  • Good Video! My uncle was a tailgunner in B-17's and B-24's and flew 35 missions over Europe and never had a scratch. My understanding was that a tailgunners expected life span was very short.

  • Where and when was this filmed?

  • I cry up a hurricane everytime I see a B-17 video. My late grandad was a WW2 POW flying 'em over Nazi Germany.

  • this days cars planes suck i wish i would this one of this fly by my home i would cry =(

  • I love the B-17. Just looking at it, makes me emotional. Everything about it, from the sound of those 930HP P&W radials to the design of the aircraft itself. Tough old girls these.

  • My late uncle served in this aircraft, and did every job in that aircraft except the ball turret gunner.

  • The majority of this video was recorded in Geneseo, NY, during what looks like the 1993 Wings Of Eagles Airshow...I'm proud to say I was there :P

  • B-29 so sexy. :)

  • nice vid.. i like the b17

  • well having talked to more air men than i can count I still hear them say if they had to do it again they would be in a b-17 not a b-24

  • a b24 was considered and reffered to as a flying coffin (hope i typed it all rigt :S

  • @GENMAJcamouflage lmfo yea thats true cause the b-17 could fly with one engine and was more heavily armed and armored

  • Most enjoyable vid - thanks.

  • The B17 was a good plane!!! I still love the Lancaster!
