Good Video! My uncle was a tailgunner in B-17's and B-24's and flew 35 missions over Europe and never had a scratch. My understanding was that a tailgunners expected life span was very short.

I love the B-17. Just looking at it, makes me emotional. Everything about it, from the sound of those 930HP P&W radials to the design of the aircraft itself. Tough old girls these.

well having talked to more air men than i can count I still hear them say if they had to do it again they would be in a b-17 not a b-24
