  • Nevermind I figured it out. Nice review.

  • @ShadowJ20 Great and thanks!

  • Dumb question, how do you close the knife?

  • mines just came todayand its like stuck i dont know how to close the damn thing can u help me

  • @romeo101ist Linerlock stuck?

  • Just bought it. It'll make me feel a little safer-____-

  • @AristocracyAprox Cool... thanks for stopping by.

  • The serrated edges on the lanyard holder is meant as a replacement for the steel in a "flint and steel" set. The edges give more oxygen flow than the back of the blade, giving you a bigger spark, a very useful feature.

  • @Catnip720 Good thought... are you talking about striking a real flint or scraping a ferro rod? I'm not sure if you could strike a spark off this stainless with a flint but I haven't tried it.

  • Hey, I just* got this knife in the mail, and I think its really great. ( I also got the Mtech Rescue team ) but this knife is very good, Sharp out of the box, springs open really good, but the only possible problems are the screws ( but as you said; Loctite could help that ) and the blade coming open. Mine doesn't do that unless i really try to shake it open. Overall great knife for the price, couldn't agree more !

  • @iloverussia115 Glad you got a good one! I did loctite the screws and it continues to function well. Thanks for commenting.

  • @da1n0nly72 Screws too small for hardware replacement... clerk could not size it. While sealing screws in a lot of my knives I did notice that they seem to be the same size so if you have other retired knives maybe you could cannibalize one. Good luck!

  • If you were in a fight and you had a knife why the hell would u bop someone on the head with the back

  • @Emokidandapplesmashe Maybe a bob on the head would be the proper level of force to discourage someone instead of stabbing. Hard to say as my knife fighting experience is zero and I hope it stays that way.

  • @da1n0nly72 same happen to me. the guy at the hardware store told me to go to a electronic store to get the screws cuz the hardware store doesn't carry that size and after you find the screws get some lite glue and stick that glue in with those screws lol

  • @da1n0nly72 I'll take one to the hardware store when I pass by and see if I can figure it out... stand by.

  • I agree, especially about loosening and the fairly weak detent. I fix the detent problem by lying it down on its side in my back pocket and I never have a problem. Nice review.

  • Great review, I've been looking at getting this on Amazon. I saw some of the bad reviews for this knife, but it seems like it works great for you. I'm more interested in buying this knife now after seeing this review.

  • @ninjafly35 You won't regret parting with 8 bucks on this one. Thanks for commenting.

  • i just got mine today from amazon, and is a very nice knife. I.m not gonna be opening deer or skinning them. It is just to go fishing, cut some lines and stuff like that. Im looking forward to see how it holds. For 8 dollars its an outstanding value.

  • im hetting a diffrent on i had one for over 4 years used it every day and only had to tighten up all screws cut of lip on pocket clip and through it in a vice to stop the blade from wobblen and it still works i love mtech

  • I've only ever owned 1 Mtech folder. Your experience is similar to mine. Loose pillars, sub par detent for the pocket. Both problems can be fixed in a few minutes with tools and loktite. "Not as bad as people say it is". Fine point- have a good one!

  • @yhckelly Sometimes you have to tweak the elite knives also.

  • Now for a "TACTICAL" blade the importance is more straight forward. but I think for an everyday carry knife the speed of the blade saves time and frustration in certain jobs.

  • I think the biggest reason a blade should be "fast" is so that it gets a good tight lock up. if your knife doesn't come out fast and lets say stops half way out it may require a second hand. When I am out on the farm there are many times when my other hand is occupied and I need the blade to be a one handed only knife

  • @ironmonkeyz This is a good point. BTW my floor is Armstrong laminate... wears like iron.

  • I will say the fact that it can open in the pocket concerns me as I have several scars on the hand due to just that kinda of problem.

  • nice floors! I love slate. Pretty cool little knife. reminds me a bit of my K-Mart S&W spec ops $10.
