  • If Eddie is the same one singing falsetto and lead voice ... his falsetto is terrific, his lead voice flat!

  • I really enjoyed hearing this from the group. As they say in Downtown Jersey City. CLEAN

  • fantastic work but who shipped off the ending??

  • Great! almost faultless which is hard to do with acappella if I remember!

    Eddie,first tenor/lead The Five Sharks

  • If anyone knows acapella it's definitely you Eddie

  • LOVE IT !!!!!! Soooooo Beautiful !!! Thank you PJ. Another Great Post !!!

    All Thumbs Up !!!

  • It sounds good. Not too brite at all.

  • Cool. Thanks man

  • One word......AWESOME!!!!!!!

  • Your guna have to mix my CD!... Fantastic job brother!

    - Jonny B.

  • I might be able to help you out with that depending on how busy I am at the time.

  • I Dont Really Comment On Vids. But I Just had to on this one bro. Fkn Beautiful

    Love Eht!

  • I'm really happy that you went out of your way to comment. That means a lot to the group and a lot to me since I engineered the session

  • I enjoyed this tremendously. What a pleasant surprize that it was that good.

  • Those are flattering comments. Thank you

  • Doo wop never goes out of style

  • I have to agree, especially after witnessing those rave reviews that group "North Shore" got on the Sing Off

  • ohhh awesome channels tune!!! thnx so much!!!!

  • You're welcome

  • PJ I forgot to mention that your falsetto guy is excellent. What's his name and where is he in the pic? He is probably even or slightly better than D' Aleo is now. And that is saying a lot. Randy

  • Frankie does lead. He's 2nd to the left in the first pic

  • "THE CLOSER YOU ARE" IS CERTAINLY ON THE RADAR; HOPEFULLY SOON. I DO BEG TO DIFFER REGARDING VERSION AS I TOOK MORE OF THE FALSETTO FROM EARL LEWIS. WHAT YOU DID NOT HEAR WAS THE FALSETTO LEAD IN LIKE EARL LEWIS, WHICH WAS REMOVED. IN ADDITION, THE BASS IN THE BACKGOUND & THE HARMONY AND TEMPO LENDS MORE TO THE CHANNELS. YOU SURPRISED ME, PJ, BUT YOU DID A GREAT JOB. NEXT TAKE WILL BE EVEN BETTER, THANKS. FRANKIE C.

  • YES!!! "THE CLOSER YOU ARE" WAS ANOTHER FANTASTIC SONG FOR THE CHANNELS !!

JUST LOVE THAT ONE AS MUCH!

    THANKS

  • YES I AGREE , THE CHANNELS ARE STILL FANTASTIC!!

BUT JUST THE MEMORY OF "MY FRIENDS" THAT JUST DID THE HARMONY BACK IN THE 60'S JUST DID IT FOR FUN , MORE OR LESS!!

    THEY WERE ALSO VERY GOOD!!

JUST A MEMORY FLASHED THRU MY MINE OF WHAT WE DID BACK IN THE EARLY 60'S!!

    THANKS !

  • Great PJ Done more in the Belmonts style. Top notch

  • I think where people get confused is the Belmonts version has no bass, but otherwise it's definitely closer to The Belmonts

  • What happened to the last 3 seconds?

  • Human error, lol

  • Great sounds. It's a shame that Horner not doing a radio show anymore. On the Time Capsule show when they mentioned other shows they mentioned him.

  • Charlie and his wife Pam are both still very, very active. He may not have a radio show but his influence has expanded in other ways

  • THE CHANNELS WERE ALL THAT WITH THEIR SONGS!! LOVE THIS SONG, THEY WERE ON THE PBS SHOW A FEW YEARS AGO!

THEY ARE STILL TODAY A GREAT GROUP!

    THE HARMONY IS FANTASTIC!

SO WAS THE CREST, BUT THERE WAS ALOT OF HARMONY EVERYWHERE BACK THEM!

ALOT OF GUYS WOULD JUST STAND AROUND ON THE STREET CORNER AND SING HARMONY SONGS IN THE EARLY 60'S!!

    GREAT MEMORIES

  • @cynthia6637. Actually most of the guys who stood around singing harmony, was because they could not afford musical instruments. Think that goes back to the Mills Brothers. My husband sang in a group and that was his story.

  • This is true. This is largely how doo wop was born

  • The Channels still are a top notch group

  • Wonderful PJ...amazing harmony, yes they still *got it* The photos too

  • I hope they still got it.. This was recorded two days ago, lol

  • @PJDooWop Ayup..they still got it..*smiles*

  • HI PJ, TERRIFIC WORK IN ALL REGARDS! THANK YOU FOR A REAL TREAT,TOM D.

  • Glad you enjoyed it Tom. Your opinion goes a long way with me :)

  • Nice take on The Channels classic hit. Now lets hear them do "The Closer You Are".

  • Good call. I'll mention it to Frankie (the lead) when I see him on Sunday.

  • Real nice, good post!

  • Thank you
