Best localisation of a Japanese game ever, FF13 was a massive step back. Voices and acting in this was so much better and a lot less cheesy.

@Kashinoda I thought voice-acting was good enough in FFXIII but the script was atrocious. FFXII's localization blows it outta the water.

lol this opening scene got me so amped... the game was good and all but it was kind of a let down compared to this opening scene

my favourite ff, same universe as ff tactics and vagrant story, as in all three, love the medieval art direction, the epic storyline, and the focus on brotherly love over the cliched romantic love convention in almost all the other earlier ffs.

Personally though I see the real time battle system as a logical progression of random battles, and it poses a greater challenge to the developers to make environments and character models that can handle both exploration and battle simultaneously

@bobodahoboaks It's my favorite, but opinions vary wildly on this one. Most people seem to dislike that it's so different from other Final Fantasies. Maybe those people would have liked the game better on its own merits were it called "Ivalice Intrigues" or something. I love the Gambit system. Characters do what you would have done in situations, because you translate your own priorities into Gambits. The exploration is actually present here. No annoying random encounters. Fantastic soundtrack.

Nope, FF11 is online, it's out, FF12 and FF13 are both just single player, FF13 came out last week. FFV13 is coming, it's going to be single player, while FF14 is going to be online.
