cp is so sweet trying to be air canada . where are they now . cp is not under my bed . cp is not in my closet . oh whait they went out of busniss along time ago o wawawawa.
@deltanalliance spoilers yes , but reverse is normally used when nose wheel touches ground.. and when the plane reaches 60 kts reverse out and spoilers out till 20 kts.
Betablocka, Never a bad landing? The worst landings I ever experienced were back then...lol But what a stupid fucking argument to say anyway, Airline travel is 10 times safer today than back then. What does that tell you. You fucking moron..
Thank you for putting this up. Those were the days - Cp Air and Wardair were the greatest of Canada's airlines.Good inflight service and I think better overall piloting too. Never a bad landing. I remember going on the CP DC10 "Punch Dickens" from Gatwick to Tronna in 1984. In fact my first ever flight was on CP's 747 "Empress of Australia" in 1977.Fantastic memories of great summers.
From what I remember, Air Canada and CP Air didn't have one oceanic route in common. Air Canada flew to England, France, Germany, and Switzerland, adding India and Singapore in the 1980s. Whereas CP Air flew to The Netherlands, Portugal, possibly Spain, Italy, Hawaii-Fiji-Australia, Japan, and China (Hong Kong).
Thanks for including CP Air in whatever program everyone has been using to stimulate all this. As a Vancouverite, it's quite a sight.
Very Nice! I once flew the real deal CP Air DC-10 2 legs, between Edmonton & Toronto & continued on to Montreal to end the trip. Long time ago, but you re kindled the memories of this once proud Canadian Bird, thx....
Just a criticism, if I may, (Nice vid BTW) In reality, if you trew out the spoilers and reversed thrust with the nose that high, your nose gear would suffer terribly. Nice other than that.
Awesome Landing Man! :)

I was disappointed this wasn't real footage, but it's still nice to see the old CP livery again, so thanks for the video.

What? - CP Air flew to England at one time?

Nice smooth landing, but I think reverse thrust and spoilers should be activated after the nose wheel touches down...
deltanalliance 3 years ago
Thank u so much!
bodylover1 3 years ago
No, Spoilers are to Engage after the main gear touches, and the reverse thrust was at perfecct timing
Abanoub55 3 years ago
@deltanalliance Not really. Speed brakes are activated as soon as the plane touches the ground, reverse thrust after the nose wheel touches down :).

@deltanalliance
WRONG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! spoilers & thrust reversers are frequently activated before the nose wheel is down
