This song is about the struggle the puertoricans had in the 60's (in the US) when few people understood that they too are americans and treated them like foreigners when they are actually "natives". (They are born to their land which belongs to the US.) They and the native americans share that characteristic. However the lack of knowledge and education (on both parts) gave way to a sad situation that only till recently was understood. A song that represents our past and future.
@duchesseofdevon the more people in a chorus the better? have you been in a musical? a large chorus may be a spectacle, but only if you pull it off, which you can only do by a very close call. they just didnt pull it off. and of course its a fun song, its teasing between each other. dont be so antsy.
The dancing was out of step in some parts that I assume it were meant to be synchronized. Also, I'm not sure I liked how whenever Rosalia & Anita talk/sing to each other, their hands are almost always on their hips - some variety in movement would be nice!

mine was different but we had a better version like when we said "aye aye aye" they all turned in a circle now that had rythm for my school it did but i do'n't think urs did, not to be mean but i'm just saying u did it different;y like almost different then what the movie was like our play from my school was similar to the movie but we changed some things around.
