  • this girl owns my math and biology teachers

  • Grrr coming across this while trying to write my paper on the applications of braids in knot theory both inspires and depresses me.

    haha

  • Comment removed

  • Um.... I see why she won.

  • The MIT guy could have done all of the work

  • how come all smart, pretty, and mature woman are always on the other side of the country(san diego), or the world from me?

Because, society sucks up all the pretty girls in various irrationalist groups!

  • that is one monster of a board

  • I understood the words "biology", "knot", and "theory". That's about it.

  • holy shit

  • is she talking in chinese cus i dont know what the heck she saying lol

  • this will help the future.............how?

shes smart, but the point is unclear.

  • lol really? basically what she was saying is that she's helping biochemist tell the difference between different enzymes and such, because their structures play a major factor in how they function. like 2 different enzymes might be made of the same chemicals but simply being twisted a different way greatly changes its effect on your body. figuring out the math part is pretty crazy considering she's just a high school senior.

  • @BECstudios She stated because you can uniquely identify biology related structures, which directly corresponds with its function. (for example DNA strands?)

  • @BECstudios other biochem researchers can use the delta invariant to uniquely classify organic molecules.

  • Useful discovery!

  • nice, knot theory ftw!

  • the camera guy didnt noe what the hell she was saying

  • If you show a pair of that type of knot are different with that invariant, does it mean that R^3 minus one of them and R^3 minus the other one are not homeomorphic?

You are a cool kid. I'm old but am now inspired to dig up my Crowell and Fox book and read.

  • @bleeshpo Knots are considered equivalent up to ambient isotopy of the ambient space (usually the 3-sphere, the one-point compactification of R^3).

  • Well, shes smart..very =) good on her =)

  • this is amazing work.

  • haha SANA! i met her at a summer camp in 2007 - she's an amazing runner as well :)

  • Thanks! That was awesome.

  • I let bread mold once...i think i got a B

  • I take it you got an A.

  • I loved the part when she pulled out the extendable metal pointer. Well done.

  • HAHA same

  • Well this girl has a promising life.... dear lord.

  • Congratulations, your win is well deserved!

  • errrrrr, thats... but can you tie a clove hitch and a bowline?

  • My Balloon on a string was so much better than this.

  • She's so cute! I got a 'young Scully' vibe. 'Cause, yes, me X-Files fan. ;p

  • If a kid is really, really good at basketball, he might skp college and go straight to the NBA.

Can this young lady skip college and go right to grad school on the same theory?

  • So basically my Volcano makes me look like a super retard.

  • Her title is too long. -1. See me after class.

  • She beat my baking soda vinegar volcano.

  • Maybe she could put some of her research to use at the folding@home project to find some cures for diseases!

  • Great job! And very articulate at a young age!

  • Whoa! Where did this girl go to school, because I want to send my kids there!

  • $100 says her dad is a physicist

  • ...im on math team and i have to figure out an experiment for the knot theory..no biology plz im a freshmen that sux at biology and damn shes smart and nerdy!! i wish she could give me a simple intro on knot theory

  • math 25 + physics 16 FTW

  • Grow up! This video was not created for your personal use. Finding what you you need is your problem, not hers. Why don't you go find a live human being to ask?

  • i said i WISHED..and plus this comment was years ago im done with my proj. now

  • Amazing almost graduate research level.

You must have some sort of connection from your surroundings.

Wait... what am I doing... this Youtube account is not even here lolz

  • she could be hindu or anything else roxy. assumption and appearance can be decieving.

  • Brilliant!

  • holy crap....awesome project

  • You go girl! More power to all three of you!

  • 3 female intel winners - bravo

  • omg, this is so brilliant! Phd level study for a high school student, I'm impressed. Keep up the good work kid!

  • well. at least give some compliments to the lady... she worked very hard on an arduous math theory that could lead to breakthroughs in DNA studies and biology. have some sense.

  • WHOA!!! GENIUS!!!

  • gratz!
