  • You look and talk like Phil Heath. Nice videos, thanks a lot!

  • can you substitute dumbell press instead of bench press?

  • love the vids man keep em coming, one question, when ur unwell with flu or chest infection how do u keep training cos i feel weak as kitten and my strength seem to go almost to the point that 70% of my max is impossible to move, dead lift, squat, bench and other lifts. any tips on how to hold onto ur strength regarding sets reps and nutrition. trying to keep the heavy workouts going is impossible. cheers

  • @tomlennon1000 if you have a flu or some kind of illness you should not train until you've recovered. Weight lifitng (especially high resistance) pretty much screws up your immune system.

  • Got some beer kegs back there? i hear keg stands are good for upper body mass!

  • Hey Elliot, where is your camp located?

  • strong posture on the red shirt guy in the background

  • @MattApril sarcasm?

  • @MattApril aware

  • Hey strengthcamp nice video i wanted to know what ur height is and weight??

  • Upright Rows are HORRIBLE for your rotator cuff in the shoulder. Be prepared for some serious pain and discomfort later on in life.

  • @chargoisk I agree. I've heard some shit cracking in there somewhere when I used to do these. They can't do anything that shrugs and deadlifts can't do.

  • Great information! I have only been "truly" weightlifting for about 5 and a half months now, but the only thing is see is the more weight i can do and less definition showing. I am 17 years of age but i am on the lean side and trying to pack on mass! After watching your vid. i can't wait to start my "OWN" workout routine instead if my brother's. Thanks again!

  • this guy knows his shit

  • i was really shocked by that guys voice

  • you could kick the shit out of ronnie from jersey shore :P

  • What do you think about rippetoes SS? I built both size and mass with it and cut out the boring isolation stuff

  • first timer to ur videos and man im impressed.

  • You have to be related to josh koscheck

  • @jamesfwillett Take up Sewing

  • Man, found your old video. This is a freakin good workout. I appreciate that.

  • dude just a tip get a mic, to much background noise, other than that good vid man

  • hey man i love your vids keep it up bro

  • is it possible if i run 5 click twice every week wit this routine?

  • if u wanna see some serius strenght gain check for neck excercises , eat a lot of eggs / liver and avoid salt fats and bananas

  • @jamesfwillett frog squats

  • he obviusly raises his weist at bench press ... oh ok he admited it himself , ermmm to say it , u dont actually excercise ur chest dude , u just sit and check who9 can lift the most , stop moving u waist , put less weights so u can actually can perform the motion right , lift the weight in half time than lowering and feel ur chest burning and stop blaming ur gens for ur no chest muscle gain ... dude

  • Very informative vid, thanks for putting it up.

  • elliot after the power building exercise like the bench press how many minutes rest should you take between exercises ? or will be it be like a tri set/ circuit where you just move onto the next exercise with no rest? im abit confused mate

  • I love this guy lol

  • You have something that I cant put into words. You're so damn dedicated! You've helped me in bodybuilding with you're zen video on training. Best regards from the cold skandinavia!

  • My goal is his bodyshape and strength

  • Very informative videos man, thanks!

  • Yea this is pretty much what I've been doing since summer with great results...lifting 3 days a week....1.Deadlifts with more pulling exercises 2. Bench presses with dips/ military presses etc. and day 3 is squats, lunges light deadlifts and some bicep curls thrown in

  • Great information. I'm gonna try the bench/dumbell push-up circuit.

  • @jamesfwillett

The only good alternative for deadlift is being dead. Which incidentally is the only good reason not to perform deadlift. Lol.

  • how do i get rid of stretch marks ?

  • @shutyuhscunt not be fat

  • @shutyuhscunt

Kill yourself, that will do the trick. Stretch marks are the tattoos of a an iron warrior. The only other way to get stretch marks is to get fat. In which case they are a mark of shame. Lol.

  • Elliot you really are a an inspiration! You truly have a passion for helping people.

    Live strong bro!

  • @heaneyboxing - thanks!

  • @jamesfwillett seriously man if you don't deadlift you are really cheating yourself out of gains. Deadlift/Squat/Bench Press/Chin Ups/Dips....DO THEM!!!!

  • Thanks for this information, how do I know if I'm overtraining, what should I look for?

  • i do bench press and chest on one day then i do curls and squats the next, but i want to know if i should do abs every day that i work out or do i keep it on certain days with my routine?

  • deadlifts are king

  • Thank's a lot for these videos!!

  • Elliot,

I don't have a bench at home, are weighted pushups an okay sub?

  • @jamesfwillett no point to be alive if you cant do deadlift {Jon Pall}

  • @jamesfwillett NOTHING!

  • @strengthcamp i don't like working out, so what's a good alterna... naah i'm not serious :D

  • Hey Elliott, love your vids and your enthusiasm. you said these type of workouts are used for skinny guys. If someone already has a decent amount of muscle, would they still see good results from this type of workout??

  • damn i wish i had gyms like this around where i live all we have are corporate chain gyms that dont let you power lift

  • after watching his videos dis dudes after doubling my bench max in jus two months

  • Some solid information, but I feel like he's yelling at me lol

  • @newbiex2 - Ya, I talk loud and am pretty aggressive. This offends some people.

  • great information as always. What tips could you give for tall guys doing deadlifts? I'm 6 ft. 4 and I'm sure you've probably seen tall guys starting out doing deadlifts and they arch their back when pulling the weight up. Also, do deadlifts target mostly the legs (quads and hamstrings) or the lower back?

  • @jreily88 - Pull off of blocks or out of a rack (I like blocks better).

  • @strengthcamp

    cool, thanks.

  • @jreily88 When i moved in with my brother, he got me into doing Power Cleans, Deadlifts, Clean and Jerks and Snatch Cleans at our school. Deadlifts are meant to target your legs ALOT, and your Back ALOT as well. It is a really good workout to improve a lot of other Exercises that you would normally do such as Chest.

  • thanks for the tips man! love your videos!

  • Mhmm. Really like the energy bro. Keep it up.

  • okay can anybody please help me. well i weigh 103 pounds and i am 4'10 at age 18, i the maximum i can bench press is 85 pounds for 3 reps of 5, is this a good weight i can bench?

  • hey if i'm looking to bulk up at about 135 lbs and around 5'10 is the best set/rep range 5x5 like you said? I've been doing 3 sets of 8 reps on the bench... not sure which direction to go here?

  • @RamsLaxer How much do you weigh now? 135lbs is not much of a goal, I'm sure you can do better than that, especially at 5' 10

  • @CirclesOfHell haha no i am 135 now

  • @RamsLaxer Get your diet in check, it's the most important thing. Any routine that causes sufficient muscle trauma will get you bigger so long as you're eating enough.

  • thanks love to learn more!!

  • do u increase the weight on the bench? like SL's 5x5? and i love ur enthusiasm! keep it up =)

  • @plsl2p - because 5x5 is too high a volume to "max out", I choose a weight that I can perform for the first set and then get lighter, if need be, for the subsequent sets... its the high volume that allows itself to hypertrophy.

  • do you increase weight on the 5x5 bench

  • @dgwear69 because 5x5 is too high a volume to "max out", I choose a weight that I can perform for the first set and then get lighter, if need be, for the subsequent sets... its the high volume that allows itself to hypertrophy.

  • I helped my bench by doing hypers actually, and strict db rows on the hyper.

And chins laddering to 30 is a good warmup for my bench.

From your advice I quit splitting up the body and just do whole body workouts, so I just prioritize different lifts on different days. Either the squat, bench or chin comes first.

And I love your family values approach.

    Thanks.

  • @LovingScrubbies - Sounds like a great program man! Thanks for the kind words too!

  • this makes total sense! again my questions have been answered! thank you :)
