When I was a kid, I thought the Rancor was awesome, but a bit too much at the same time. The bit where it takes a bite out of the guard was quite graphic, especially for a film with a 'U' cert.

Excellent vfx though, and it left me wondering how they did it for years.

As opposed to the redun Starwars movies I must admit I would haveliked to see the Rancor scene done over just to see what it may have been.Yes this was my fav in ROTJ but having watched it just recently the part where it picks luke up looks awful.Terrible blue screen effect.If they just fixed that part and left the rest ofthe scene that would be fine.
