sounds good. i love my diamond audio 12's. i have the dual vc and am putting 2000 watts to them at 1 ohm through a quantum amp and all alpine r drive mids and highs and pdx f4 for power.thanks for sharing
i can get two diamond audio d9 amplifiers for $300 but when i heard them hooked to two JL 12"s and a JL 15" i wasnt very impressed.. think it was just hooked up wrong or what? and do you think they will be good enough to push a Fi BTL 15" hard? any help would be appreciated.
im not sure about your amps power, but i know your JL 12's and JL 15" will HOUND! i got 2 JL audio 12" w7's. and your 12's shound have about 1000 watts per 12. and your 15 about 1200 watts to it.
(That info is depending on your type of JL 12's and JL 15. what are your 12's? w7? and your 15?
hey what is the song your using in the video? i had it before till my car got broken into and all my stuff got stolen. also what all are you using for the system i been lokkin around but i cant find one i lnke yet
nice man i just got my 2 15' diamond d3s for right now but in 2 months imma have 2 15' diamond d9's with 2 3000 watt powerbass amps but my d3's slap so fucking hard in my blazer
I put t112 Power by RF in a ported box in an 09 Element. The Diamonds are sick but are worn in a bit now. I think they can handle a wider range of sounds then the RF, but the RF seem very punchy and perhaps more durable. Hifonics??? I've only used Alpine PDX and FR Power.
Not sure man, I have two Hex Pro 10s in my s2k. My son just got a car so I may want to put one t212d2. My buddy has two T1 FS in his ride and I think over the long run they will be more sturdy. I have been hittin' these for sometime and they flap a bit now. They still push so hard and I have ridden on trips for 6HRs bumpin hard the whole time so they have put in some work.
wat kind of amp you got and is it the same rms as the subs, cause i thinking of getting some soon and i, aint sure if the rms or if the overall peak of the amp should match the subs.
diamond is the best shit ever man , MY BRO BOUGHT 2 15 D9'S AND FUCK MAN , HE HAS IT ON A SUBURBAN WITH 2 BIG ASS PORTED BOXES AND A US AMP , FUCK MAN SHIT BUMPS, ITS ALL ABOUT DIAMOND,
Yea the mirror is lose now. I am set to pick up some HexPro which replaced the D9 for my S2K, I am upgrading from my Alpine Type X 12 to two Hex Pro 10s and some HexPro components too.
i know this one guy who went into competetion with his tdx 15 for 3 years and never lost... he also had 3000 watts rms to it and it was in a slot ported 3 c.u. foot box.
hey im buying 2 D9 12's and wondering wut type of amps u got i was thinking about 2 mono block 2 ohm stable 1200 watt JL audio amps do you think it would hold up to the power
i would go with diamond audio amps as opposed to jl. diamond audio d6 line amps are very clean and have a very good damping factor. 1200 watts for one of those subs is nothing. so 1200 watts would be good. as long as they see atleast 1000 watts rms youll be good.
yea diamond for life! ill give you guys a secret, these diamond audio d9 subs can handle tons of power, they can easily take 2000 watts rms a piece. i know this one guy went into competetion with a tdx 15 in a ported bax, and 3000 watts rms, and never lost once in 3 years of competetion.
they are built for power handling, the car audio guys i know have done lots of testing with these subs and have told me that the 15" can handle 3000 wrms/ voice coil, plus the cooling technology used in these subs is also amazing, the excursion also helps with the cooling haha
what kinda set up are you running? what amps do you have? what power are you running to them? yeah. hatchbacks are good for sound like that... i know this one guy whos got 2 tdx 15's and he hits 165 db :P kickers dont have nearly the quality that the diamonds have. kickers get loud, but they have a lot of overheating and melting problems... if you ever try burping those kickers, they hit less and less everytime...
ehh not really sure but it was mostly stinger stuff ,im not much of a pro into setups and stuff thats why i had them do the work =X. but the tdx each are 750W Rms in a custom close box with a see thru plastic side , and for some reason i kept burning the stinger fuse. (sold the truck still have the 15's looking for some better place then alpha audio to hook them up on my new 4runner , any idea's?)
man those tdx's need minimum 1000 rms each. kickers dont compare to d9's man. yes i have ideas, give each of them 2000 watts rms then see if kicker is worth it :p l7's can bite diamonds ass and hard:p screw kicker. give those subs seom real power man. tdx's dont run well with less than 1000 rms.
seriously, if you wanna win, hook those subs up with some real power and put them each in a 3 cubic foot slot ported box. by real power, i mean 5000 watts rms each. but good amps not just anything that says 5000 watts on it either.
put those diamonds in 3 cubic foot slot ported boxes, give them 5000 watts rms each then tell me if those sorry excuse of a sub kickers keep up... it will never happen. 2 diamond d9 15's can hit over 160 db.. tell me how many kickers itll take to do that. ive been studiying diamond subs for a long time.
dual 2 ohm i believe. im just wondering.. what would you think about running a single d6 12 inch? with 800 watts rms theyll do pretty good! plus they play lower and deeper than the d3's.. let me know what you think!
Damn dude idk what mines r i got 2 12 inch diamonds in a center port box with a 1200 watt kicker amp only a zx300.1 :-( but idk what the numbers on my subs r but they fuckin bang, i love diamond audio fo life haha
Thanks....Each D9 sub is running on an Alpine PDX-1.1000 Mono Power Density Digital Amplifier and the components are running on a PDX-4.150 4/3/2 Ch. Power Density Digital Amplifier. I run the subs with a Rockford Fosgate 3SIXTY Interactive Signal Processor along with an upgraded battery, amp kits and wires for the set up...
I am not sure how many dbs but I want to measure. Do you recommend something? I will take some video soon, now the mirror does not stay in put... TY-CYA
I would say, go to your nearest car audio shop and have them meter it, most will be more than happy to help ya. if you dont have one close by then i would say go on the internet and look around for a cheap meter.
damn man ima get some d9 15 inch i imagine how they gonna pound, i had the d3 12 inch and they pound alsmost ass loud ass my 12 inch 1000 rms pioneer premiers but damn cant wait till i get my d9's
