  • Fascist Obama supporters at it again. This time, they take homemade lunches.

  • people shud be able to regulate THEIR OWN food choices

  • The govt. acn keep its big nose out of our kitchens and eaterys! NOYB, GOVT.

  • Ridiculous.

  • Not only is he working hard everyday to ban salt, he also banned trans fat used in baking and 0-nicotine vaping used by people trying to quit smoking!!

Now he's trying to ban Vitamin 1000 mg C tablets.

Glad I left New York 2 year ago!!! I can still enjoy all of the above mentioned ingredients without the NY Food Nazi arresting and fining me thousands of dollars under threat of arrest and/or Federal imprisonment.

New York is now in the hands of a sociopolitical dictator, enjoy your new confines.

  • Everyone needs to buy Mr. Felix Ortiz a loaded salt shaker and mail it to him. (Make sure it is salt, not Coke) Christmas is coming give the gift of salt to that Nazi Commie Jerk DEMOCrap.

  • Bloomburg is a hard cunt. Pickles and raw meats NEED to be around high amounts of salt, and that soda tax? This guy wants to control his people and turn their mindset to HIS.

  • Tell them to EF OFF! America is for Freedom remember???????

  • just add warning signs on more salty things, but cant ban-tax salt, that led to revolts if you look at history. most of processed foods or cans soaps have far more salt sodium needed & that would interfere with interstate commerce. corn syrup is more dangerous for inactive ppl. yes too much salt is not good every day, but thats why you look at how each food was eaten before , occasionally eaten were the very salty preserved protein foods. govt should take hands off little stores, watchbig1s

  • That first woman on the street - I think I bought a hat from her vendor stand this winter, across from Lincoln Center.

  • I think this is being blown way out of proportion

banning salt will result in violence

  • @michiyoyoshiku many shoot'em ups will occur...I'd go down to the subway platform with an ak-47 and start blasting...I likes my salt

  • @litteringisfun

If we want high blood pressure that's our choice.

  • Because of Obamacare, I will now be forced to bear the burden for people who eat unhealthy foods (e.g., salty food).

Therefore, those who use lots of salt are essentially committing an act of aggression against me.

I don't like the salt ban proposal, but Obamacare should be repealed as well.

  • I really hate the assholes that somehow believe that government serves to "enforce society's own standards"

Seriously, how many samples of shit like this do you need to understand that that is BULLSHIT?

  • That woman at 0:24 is typical of the mindset that permeates the thinking of the average New Yorker."Well, I don't think that's any of his business,is it? He should be doing more for the city ." How much "more" should he be doing for the city? Well, let's see. Oh, here's an idea. How about pushing anti-salt legislation through the city council?Don't you get it? The more you want him to do something, the more of something (or anything) he will find to legislate.

  • The very idea that anyone would have to start a "My Food My Choice" campaign

to protect their use of salt is absurd.

I mean, at this point, just tell them to go to hell. Put a big sign saying EXTRA SALTY SALT or something.

  • Just another psychopath politician.

    .

    Power corrupts.

    .

NYC would be so much better off if they abolished city government.

  • @CurtHowland Can you imagine if they did?The five boroughs formerly known as NYC (because they would definitely have a parting of the ways) would finally be a shining example of what a stateless society could be for the rest of the country.

  • @globbo100 Yes, I can imagine. Competition. Respect for private property.

    .

Considering how much the city governments absorb in taxes, it would be like giving everyone in the city a 50% raise right away.

  • It IS Bloomberg's business. Every aspect of our health is his and every other government official's business. My tax dollars is paying for your irresponsibility and it's about time you leeches owe society.

...is what I would say if I were a government whore. But let's be honest. Everybody in the video hating the salt idea are hypocrites. They're only against the idea because it affects them. They love and encourage oppression as long as it's the other guy oppressed.

  • @Ovalshine I think you are being overly harsh in your criticism of the people in this video. They may lack vehemence in their argument, but I don't think they "love" and "encourage" oppression.

  • @globbo100 Sure, they do. Now ask if they're aware that they do. Understand that this love is only under the circumstance that they are the oppressors. Nobody loves being oppressed. I've observed long enough to conclude that it's human nature to thirst for dominion. Freedom is a myth that keeps the slaves in line.

  • @Ovalshine I'm not going to ask them if they are aware of it, because the obvious answer is that they are not. Yes, I do understand that this "love" is under the condition that they are the oppressors. But, you see, they aren't. Thus lies a major fault in your argument. You say that you've observed human nature long enough to conclude that "they thirst for dominion" over others. If you're talking about the political class, then I agree, but the average man and woman does not fit this criteria.

  • @globbo100 Despite my opinion and thoughts, I cannot in good conscience continue this argument. I probably said too much as it is. For I find myself in a position where the only counterargument is in becoming what I'm criticizing. I shall only say I disagree without explanation and allow your optimism all needed opportunity to prove me wrong. Because I want to be.

  • @Ovalshine amén, brother

As Etiénne de la Boetie wrote a long time ago, this is their own fault

  • It really is none of Bloomberg's business. But after saying that I just realized something. What exactly is his business as a government official? The problem must therefore lie with government and it's sense of intrusion that is inherently built into the system.

  • I am having a hard time believing that he is all that serious. My feeling is that it is just a ploy to promote the negative health concerns of consuming too much salt! I say that Bloomberg should add a few other things like Corn Syrup to his list as well.... lol

  • Bloomberg = EVIL

  • How do the food police explain the fact that there exists an RDA for salt and that foods we ship to third-world countries MUST contain at least a minimum of salt to prevent the symptoms of salt-deficiency?

WHOOOOOOOOOOO is in charge of this nonsense???
