coyotes and animals were fleeing for their lives and north of los feliz blvd was without power.. people couldn't get their cars out of the garages so they had to flee on foot.

it was so surreal seeing animals and people running for safety.

today just brought back those memories.

You could make these Fire Tornado's in the privacy of your own backyard: dismantle an old washing machine, take the wash-drum and the drum pivoting system out of the inner case. Than mount the pivoting system and the drum on the outside of the former inner case. Put some charcoale inside and spin, spin, spin! Check out my account for the amazing effects.

believe it or not 3 engines from fresno county fire and 2 engines from madera county initial attacked that fire...we did structure protection on commonwealth and all along dundee ave i think it was called...pretty wild fire for that time of year...after griffith was all done we went to catalina island...hell of a week...those homes on dundee and commonwealth are packed in there thick...
