everyone here is putting a time limit on cooking steak . it depends on the cut n the size of the meat and what you use to grill , pan fry or george it lol everyone likes there steak done differently.
I was wondering how long it took for a nice medium done steak. It was very short but George Foreman grills cook VERY fast. you have to keep an eye on the food inside every minute. I love it.
LMFAO! hell no you really cooked a steak in 2 min flat. Did you even turn it over on each side for 2 min? Theres no way in hell that steak in done and if it is its like chewing on a tire and taste like shit. lol
Marinade the steak in a zip lock baggy with some milk/ground pepper/garlic/basil a few hours or leave overnight. Then put it on the grill and cook it on the low/medium setting for 20-30mins.
Cooking the steak as fast as you're doing it + not marinading it will make it TOUGH! Don't disrespect the cow by cooking your steak so horribly or putting that nasty A1 crap on it.
@Devistro Don't screw up the taste of a good ribeye by marinating and cooking it that long. It should have a good sear on both sides and cooked no more than medium. Salt and pepper is all you need on a cut like a ribeye. Ruth's Cris oven's are 1800 degrees and the steaks are cooked fast.
@Devistro hold up you must not like the taste of meat if you are doing all of that to it. I mean come on MILK?..All i do is sprinkle salt and pepper onto my room temp steak (no matter what the cut) if its ANGUS, you dont need to marinate. I cook my steaks about 8 - 10 mins on both sides and then I allow the meat to "rest" for another 5 mins. Perfectly tender everytime without marinating if you know what you are doing.
Why on earth do so many people like their meat rare... I thought the whole point of cooking was to get rid of the blood and add to texture & flavour to it
@AmirNikfekrHD someone is a little princess because everyone isnt like you.... people are different... everyone isnt a pussy like you and have there steaks charred... i try to tell you nicely but since you had to be a bitch... so be it
@guywith2names I didn't say everyone had to be like me, did I? I said that steak is clearly nowhere near done. To be honest, you're the little princess trying to argue with me over a piece of meat on the internet.
And what does having my steaks charred have to do with how much of a ''pussy'' i am.
Okay good, cause Im gonna start that HCG diet soon, and Im gonna start grilling steaks to eat, nice to know you can have a juicy steak on a george foreman, I usually see them all dried up, or maybe thats just how my sister cook them.
sorry to be so particular, but, that's a boneless rib steak, it's a rib eye with a steak tail, probably a better option though as you pay more per pound just for the trimming!!
leave this man alone, he cooks stuff the way he likes it, you don't have to follow his method exactly. Ofcourse some ppl like stuff well done, semi rare, medium and such and such . Your a straight up G in my book man, thanks for the vids, nevermind the haters. Thanks for the vids.
I love the George Foreman. FUCK YEAH! (I do know there are better ways to make a steak... but c'mon, for the price you pay for this grill it does a pretty decent job! AND IN 2 MINS!)
@counterclockwise123 it's like the difference between a moon and a space station; they look the same from a distance, but once you get really close, you get sucked in by a tractor beam and then you gotta shut down the garbage mashers on the detention level :D
some grill are better or more setting then others and cooking time varies plus being contiouse and smart most of the meats make a sizzle sound and when you no longer here it just like any food you should check on it always...
Do you recommend this type of grill to speed cooking? I mean I already have a rice cooker but always have bad times cooking in the oven. Assuming I exercise a lot plus I never cooked in bulk. Thanks.
Clean-up of a George Foreman is easy before the first month of use. It's a hassel afterwards. I think some kind of change occurs in the non stick coating and it's not so non stick anymore.
2 minutes for rib eye? Can someone say TRICHINOSIS? I'm all for enjoying meat but not raw. At two minutes, the middle isn't anywhere near being safe.
Salmon and steak on this thing is great ESP since I train a lot in the gym so time for food prep is very important. I used to dread cooking salmon and steak but not anymore with this thing. :D
they great cookware to begin with when thay are New but NO longevity and start too look gunky and shity after a while stick too good old fashion cast iron griddles and skillets can not be beaten...great steak tho lol......
I love these videos, they're all just 'get ingredient, put oil on it, put in grill, open grill'. Why a different lesson for each one?!
Also, who the hell cleans something like that with a towel?! So it only takes seconds to clean your grill... then three or four washes to get all that grease and fat out of your towel...
I don't condone using the George Foreman grill to cook a steak. Why? Because the enclosed nature of the two grilling surfaces forces the water already inside of the steak to steam, cooking the steak prematurely and giving it a rubbery texture. I would suggest leaving the top lid up and just cooking the steak as you normally would in a cast-iron skillet, but the Foreman grill simply does not get hot enough to sear the outside of the steak enough to let the residual heat cook the rest afterward
That Foreman grill brutalized that steak. The last thing you want to do is squeeze a steak and force all the juices out. Rib Eyes are NOT grilled cheese sandwiches FFS.
Whats next? How to cook Kobe Beef on a stick over the fire? Finished with Ketchup!

@thisisgame That's why you use it indoors. It plugs into the wall. If there is no electricity and you have no other method, you can cook it outside on a home-made fire. @MrMikeyboy1002 Putting A-1 on a nice grilled streak is like heaven to me. Its like putting ketchup on french fries. I don't know why I do it other than it taste better.

have a GF grill that is the biggest piece of crap I have ever owned. It leaks all over the counter due to a design flaw and the company will not stand behind it. NEVER BUY A GF GRILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh my god. What a waste of a steak. This guy is preaching bullshit. Ok...I will admit...the George Forman Grill has impressed me on more than one occasion. It is absolutely fantastic for boneless chicken breast for example. BUT NOT STEAK! Look at this dudes steak! It's not even seared. This is how you cook ribeye. Get your "charcoal" grill stupid hot. Cook the steak for 30 seconds on each side. Only use tenderizer and pepper. Best food ever.
I dont think you should just use a towel to clean it, some people are going to think it dont need to be washed! I cant believe how thin that steak is! I love aberdeen angus steaks but they got to be really fat and juicy and medium. I hate over done food!
since it's through a home video camera i think the steaks just barely medium rare. Since it's a ribeye, i'm not sure if the fat's even cooked enough to not be chewy. Lucky you though, you've got a grill that you can adjust the temp to high. Quick high temperature can really bring out the flavor.
I tried grilling angus steak on it and it didn't taste too good. I grilled it for two minutes and it didn't look anything like the steak in your video. Should I have gotten ribeye instead?
To counter your smug comment, some people like their steak well done for their own taste value. I prefer mine medium because it matches the best of both worlds.
I cook my steak for 2 mins thats how a steak should be cooked

Quick high temperature can really bring out the flavor.

all of your video cooking time is totally wrong....

I tried grilling angus steak on it and it didn't taste too good. I grilled it for two minutes and it didn't look anything like the steak in your video. Should I have gotten ribeye instead?

angus is the breed of cattle, not the cut of meat!!
atdawnwewagedwar 3 years ago 3
you should of did that longer
illanig 4 years ago 3
its nicer to have it rare, nice pink salty meat
UKHOGGY 4 years ago
longer? why would you ruin a great cut of beef by cooking it longer?
atdawnwewagedwar 3 years ago
To counter your smug comment, some people like their steak well done for their own taste value. I prefer mine medium because it matches the best of both worlds.
