yes, but not cuz of copyright. the beatles didn't want their songs to be commercial. they wanted their songs to be remembered as beatles songs not "oh thats the song from the target commercial!" :( .and plus if they wait to be the last ones to release the songs the songs will shoot back up the charts and they will have hits again.
I thought he was kinda geeky for doing this video, but then I thought y'know, he don't look bad for an old guy. He's trying to recapture that innocent Beatles look I guess, and it works (more or less).

arn't beatles songs the only songs you can't buy on iTunes? at least I know that's how it was for a while. Because of copywright issues.
