Wow, I had no idea there were font snobs! I do have to admit I opened word and checked it out, and the uppercase "I" is weird. Other than that, I like it - although I would never use it on a resume or anything formal.

The point is, it's installed on so many Windows machines that people use it because they lack other options, and don't know any better. And it's used all the time in the most inappropriate situations, that it should just be expunged from the planet...period. There are MANY FREE comic-lettering-styles fonts available online that are MUCH nicer...it's just that most users don't know to look for them or how to find them. Check out "BlamBot [dot]com" for some good ones.
