@reddragon01369 I know, right? Gunslinger Girl is one of the better anime series out there and is not getting the exposure it rightly deserves. I guess that's because it's not a big merchandise machine like the other series you mention. I love my Henrietta T-Shirt, btw.

@reddragon01369 It's because they have cartoon violence, which makes it okay for kids, and while I agree that Dragon ball Z is stupid and Pokemon is a bit mediocre (even though it ranks on my favorite animne list) I agree that Gunslinger Girl is amazing and deserves much more credit. The only reason those animes are glorified is because people are too worried about kids seeing violence. And parents let them play Call of Duty? Huh, typical of the paranoid America.

@reddragon01369 Amen to that brother! I called an allnighter and watched this show from beginning to end in one day. The story line and character development is so enchanting and I just love this style of anime. Screw all that pop culture crap. Animes like that are pointless.

I love shows that do this kind of thing...questioning humanity's values and such. There is such a deeper message in this story and it gets you thinking on a deep psychological and emotional level. This is a true show.

@reddragon01369 That is true, there are some really good anime out there that don't have enough credit for being so well made and to move your emotions to new levels. Mostly becouse a lot of kids watch those type of anime but when they see something complicated for their minds to follow they close the window.

If i may state my opinion on the anime then here it goes:

I think the second season was great. I loved the art style, even though it did not fit the style of the anime. I think the original art wouldve been better but i thought both were great. They had an amazing storyline with a hell of an ending so i still give it a 9/10.

@Yeomanv10 The art style looked more generic than the first seasons in my opinion. Vibrant colors are not something I'd think would this series tone in attitude, and honestly I thought the detail decreased. 2nd season doesn't look horrible, so if you like it that's fine, but I don't.

I do agree with you when it comes to the action and yes when you first see the girls it does take a short time to get used to their new look but lets be happy they didnt do any overly drastic changes to the girls.
