I remember listening to this sound track when i was v young (far too young and innocent to even realise that singing about a whorehouse could cause offence). I have never seen this film, i gotta admit i'm pretty disappointed in the dancing and acting, was expecting something far more natural. The dancing doesn't suit the plot!! Great songs though.

@CatpurrRobertaBobbi This movie was based on actual events in Texas during the country's sexual revolution. It's not too far off from the facts of the matter. Not everyone viewed selling sex as something to be ashamed of back then; in fact, some women found it empowering.

Best movie ever I remember being 12 and me mom saying that Miss Dolly was in a movie called Best Little Whorehouse in Texas and I was shocked then I went and rented it from the video store it is now my favourite movie.
