1970年代末の国産車で一番速いクルマの一つであったことは確­かです。

小生個人としては1980年6月に行った長野県野辺山への修学旅­行の帰途に立ち寄った談合坂サービスエリアでプログレスコスモ（­グレードは13Bリミテッドの赤）に乗ったサングラスをかけたド­ライバーが我々に向けてピースをして笑っていたことを強烈に憶え­ております!!　時に小生小5、10歳の頃の思い出です。

小生もルーチェ13Ｂに乗っていましたが住む町がトヨタのお膝元­ゆえ、皆バカにしました。でもルーチェは重い車でしたが競争すれ­ばレビンやセリカなんぞは軽く突放しましたヨ、ロータリーエンジ­ンは米ＧＭからの圧力でツブされてしまったと聞きましたが。まあ­ハラグロサクソンらには創れやしませんですわネｴ。今こうやって­改めて観ますとマツダは素晴らしいクルマをたくさん発表して一歩­も二歩も先を歩いていたんだと感じます。マツダ万歳　日本は世界一なり!!

hi, im from Colombia, i love mazda, my dad had a 626 lx Mark 2 hatchback 8 valve carburator 5 speed from 1988. it was a great car fabolous torque high power. assembled here in Bogotá Colombia, i remeber it has everything electric even the the a/c fans thats has auto movement, the rear power windows said POWER WINDOWS in yellow, the dashboard is digital with twin trip, but the odomoeter was mechanical, there was a korean copy of the 626 made under license to KIA,

今の省燃費だけが売りの樹脂りオバケバンパーや窓の小さい車じゃ­ただの移動手段で持つ悦びがまったくないよ。

ピュアすぎるRX-7は買わずスープラを買ってしまった俺だけど­マツダならこのコスモのように「欲しい」と思える車を作ってくれ­ると信じて待ってます

I had a 1979 Cosmo LTD 4bbl 13b while stationed at Yokota AB and it was a fantastic car. What a nice styling upgrade on the 1980. Had it been exported and narrated by Ricardo Montalban, it would've been a hit in the US!

I praise 1980 model Cosmo and am glad.

1980 model Cosmo was exported to the Europe by an environmental problem.

@chargalant The sad thing is that the earlier Cosmo AP was such a flop in North America that Mazda just didn't bother with the Progress Cosmo. In trying to build a car for the American market, Mazda screwed up and didn't build it Japanese enough to follow the likes of the RX-3 and RX-4. So the thing was a huge hit in Japan, but failed miserably in North America. Too bad, because it was vastly superior to all other North American vehicles in the same price range.

なるほど、では渋滞なども避けて深夜走行もしてそうですね＾＾　気を使う人は渋滞でクーラーを切ったり、油圧と水流を維持しるた­めに吹かしたり、チョークレバーを１段引いたりするようですね。­

ナイトクルージングは良くやってます。でもレジャーに使ってます­ので渋滞にも巻き込まれます。プログレスは改善されているので夏­期渋滞でも水温が上がらず気にせず乗ってます。

大切に乗られてますね。エンジンオイルや錆び止め、部品交換等、­相当に気を使っていそうですね。

車庫に入れてます。雨の日は乗りません。エンジンオイルは500­0Km毎です。錆び止めはしてません。毎週1時間40Km走行す­る事でエンジンが温まりボティー内の水分も吹き飛んでしまうのと­、循環機系、足回りのベアリング類ブッシュ類が馴染み長期間クル­マにとって良い状態だと思います。

Mazda 121 Landau is really the Landau top of progress Cosmo called it in Japan. And I discovered that interior decoration was the same as COSMOAP. Perhaps your COSMO gains an overhead warning monitor.

rx5 (rotary coupe) , 121 (piston coupe), 929 sedan, wagon and coupe (piston engine) ... so mine was always a wagon and still drives well

(rx4 was the rotary capella), later replaced by 626
