  • good ideas but the game felt rushed like the publishers wanted the game out quick

  • Had good graphics but the gameplay was horrible.

  • I liked the music but it was tedious at times and not fun to play.

  • hey great review im playing through the game now. i recently found it for $1 lol

  • the coolest part is the beginning being in the apartment and meeting all the wondering people, then half way through that part, the rest of the game kinda sucked except the driving part when the buildings are falling.those two made me actually feel like i was in a movie

  • the only thing about this game that killed it for me was that stupid chorus music that kicks in. i thought it seemed out of place and kind of ruined the experience. overall i think its still a good game. i have it on pc but i still look forward to trying out the enhanced ps3 version.

  • Same as Alone in the Dark number 1 but awesomer and that one part that looks like 2012!!!!

  • 2/5?! That's not much!!!! I say 4/5!

  • worth renting for 3days or no

  • @Camps2630 give it a go i have the game and its alright but not great

  • WHAT AN EXCELLENT REVIEW , EVERYTHING I NEEDED TO KNOW , MAY HAVE TO SUBSCRIBE IF YOUR STILL REVIEWING , TOP JOB MATE

  • is this game scary??

  • @SCREWEDUPCLICK4LIFE1 I personaly didn't find it that scary mate, but it did have a few scary moments :)

  • should i get this if i find it cheap? or are the controls really bad that you almst can't even play it?

  • @grineti5 yea if you find it cheap give it a go i got my copy for free and i enjoyed it for something free. its a mixed bag

  • @grineti5 look, if you're gonna get any version of this game, pick the PS3 version, not any other, because the PS3 version is the fixed one, since it fixed a lot of shit screwed up in other versions, trust me, the Inferno edition

  • Ha, tou dont know what you are saying man... when tou develope a game talk.

    This game its prettye good.

  • I will admit though that it is not a survival horror game and it's more of a realistic action game with a supernatural overtone that follows the story of just one guy with a gun that realistically portrays what it would be like to have to fight against the enemies that Edward Carnby has to face. But I still think it's a good game and I have very particular interests in games.

  • That's a bunch of bullshit, I beat it twice and I have all the trophies and I only had minor glitches. Most of them can be fixed by cleaning the disc by I have to admit that there was one occasion that I had to skip a chapter to resolve one, but other than that, it was fine, maybe if you would look at the good of a game instead of the bad and learned to use the favorites menu by pressing up on the d-pad, you would actually be using logic to form your opinions instead of biast bullshit.

  • I just got this game yesterday. I'm enjoying it so far. Especially since it was $15 at Wal Mart. I played the Demo about a year ago and finally picked it up.

  • If it weren't for the awful controls, Alone In The Dark could've been Game of The Year. They got everything right- the music, the story, but somehow they f**ked up with the controls. Brilliant! I actually like the game but like you said, the buggy glitches ruins the whole experience. The thing I hate the most are the driving sequences. Took me like 50 times to get the driving part in Episode 2 right. Haven't you heard of checkpoints? Played the 360 version, maybe will give PS3 version a try.

  • @krisfrosz133 The PS3 version has a checkpoint in the middle of the first driving stage.

  • Many people are saying that this new game Alan Wake is like Alone in the Dark, but I think that isn't true at all. Just because Alan Wake is about a guy that has to fight the darkness with his flashlight doesn't mean that it has something to do with Alone in the Dark.

  • I agree, but if you watch some of the E3 footage of Alan Wake it has some similarities I think, although it definitely has a different style of storytelling. Also, Alan Wake is by Remedy, who have yet to make a bad game, so I've got some faith in it.

  • I thought the game was good up until you get to central park.

  • that's a good point, until you get there you don't get the awful driving segments with the bats or having to hunt down 20 billion roots of life of whatever they were called...

  • Yeah, my main problam with the game was that the controls felt delade.

  • yeah i know what you mean, it's almost as if the wonky framerate was messing with the control inputs and delaying your actions, because there are some moments in there that were quite difficult to control because edward wouldn't do as you controlled him to.

  • I agree, It's a shame cuz this game could have been alot better if the controls were tighter, it had more weapons and it was a bit longer.

  • it has a hell of a lot going for it, interesting story and some great mechanics, it's just buried under a control scheme that you continually struggle with and endless glitches.

  • I tottaly agree, great review btw.

  • good review :)

  • is this game any good?

  • it has it's moments but for the most part it's not very fun
