good one! i always wondered how that stuff worked. turbidity negated. now if they could only get rid of the bleach taste. shoot a vid on processing and utilizing the inner tube if you get a minute.
@briargoatkilla Inner tube rubber if a jungle staple for fire making. It burns when wet. Basically you just slice off a section with a knife and light it with a lighter. A big piece like in the video will burn for about 10+ minutes and put out about 50cm of hot flame once it gets going, enough to dry out wet fuel and get it burning.
@xXxCatsnakexXx Distilation is the only reliable way to get dissolved pollutants out of water. In the area I shot this there are clean feeder streams where we can get good water. I wouldn't dream of using the Rio Das Velhas as a source for anything other than a field test of a product like this.
@Colhane good video demo. Wouldn't distillation remove the necessary minerals our body needs? I have been using the small berkey light filter (gravity fed) that removes herbicides, pesticides, organic solvents. etc, etc... directive21DOTcom. Of course... this river would be a good place to test its limits. Jimmy

Good job using that found material, it looked like you were slicing up a tuna.

@giutoniolo No it was bone dry, we packed in 8 liters. It was just an over-nighter. I left two 2-liter bottles full cached behind my tree.
