My husband and I went on a tour of Avoca last year and we went down this street and had lunch at Fitzgeralds and visited the Church, and I took pictures of the Virgin Mary outside and inside the church. This video is simply wonderful, I love it !
Balbriggan scouts camped in Avoca for many years. The campsite was to the right of the railway bridge as you head into the village. We would have only fond memories of Avova and we always felt it was a second home to the 34th Balbriggan. One year 1958 aprox we met Victor Mature the actor making a film there.Anyone from the village remember.Martin Fanning.Tabhair aire.
Thanks for sharing a nice video. There's building on the right side of the road, between the church & the pub, with two staircases to access it. Do you know why?

I could not get a clear view with my camera as I was sitting on a coach, but it is a very nice view from the bridge

I believe you, but it must be better than living in the middle of a fast moving, noisey city, surely
