This version of Once Punk Always Punk by Demob was released as a 7" single to coincide with their last ever gig at Rebellion 2009,probably unlikely that it'll turn up anywhere to be downloaded and its not on their 2 cd's that I've got,sorry mate.

I would strongly suggest that you make every effort to get here next year,its fantastic entertainment and the atmosphere is brilliant,they are hotels and B and B's surrounding the venue and rooms are easy to find..and you'll make loads of new friends.

Hey,glad you liked the video though it wasn't me with the stand(that would be quite unprofessional,ha). Yes,the list of "security" complaints keep ploughing in and its all for minor stuff,something needs to be done about that before next years Rebellion as they may be the cause of more trouble than is necessary,as far as I know there was no trouble this year and thats DESPITE the security.

the arena security were wankers,went to see the grits "none" show,and was moved 3 times down the empty staircase.(the only shit bit of a great festival!!!)

Yes,the staircase seemed a favourite of theirs,I saw them move 2 people talking on an empty staircase in the Olympia,pretty pitiful...I know one of the co-ordinators so I'm hoping to collect enough complaints on here so she can go to the right people and explain our concerns because it could all "go off" next year if we're treated with the same disrespect.

I think it was during resistance 77's set that security wouldn't let you into the arena because they said it was overcrowded, two people came out and they let two in etc, when i eventually got in there was plenty of room at the back and sides also seen the security ones with the purple tops on stopping a few from filming bands at the olympia stage.

Yes,resistance 77 was busy last year aswell so I avoided them this year especially with the over zealous approach of the security.I only had one spot of trouble with filming but I argued her into a corner....mainly coz I knew the facts and she did not.

Sadly,that appeared to be their attitude throughout the festival and they couldn't wait to get us out at the end,I think that there is a need for security but you're also right in saying that we can police ourselves,they just become an annoyance and thats a dangerous thing in a crowd of people that don't play by societys rules.

Some of the security seemed well overweight especially a couple of the woman i thought you had to have a certain standard of fitnest and what about the youngish guy who seemed very nervous and looked like he was wearing a wig,also that nonsense about telling people to get up who where having a quick lie down i'm sure some had been in the venue for 12 hours .

You're dead right about the security - whatever happened to those lovely chaps that used to work the festival every year until last year? Did they get used as scapegoats after that silliness with the police in 2007? I thought the police/plastic cops were a lot more reasonable this year though - last year they seemed to be deliberately antagonising punks.

Talked about this during the festival,the security used during 2006 and 2007 have been given the name of the Blue Shirts(its what they wore)and they couldn't do enough to help you,This SHOWSEC lot were pitiful that went beyond security and moved into nit-picking and minor infringements,they were a bloody annoyance.Perhaps the Police have realised that 5000 punks n skins respect each other more than 200 trendys in a nightclub.
