The Del Fuegos music lives on forever! And if they ever want to make a come back I will be one of millions buying there music! <3 Ilove The Del Fuegos!
@swise63 wow, no I did not! I have been vacationing in Alaska since May 26th and won't return home until July 9th! Where was there show and do you know if they will be playing in the Los Angeles area?
@Helena92345 Unfortunately, no tour or anything like that. They only played 2 reunion shows here in Boston, to support RightTurn, a substance abuse counseling organization run by Woody Giessman.....
@swise63 that's cool! I bet it was an awesome show! I sure love the Del Fuegos and I would really love to see them do a reunion tour and come to LA! There are so many of us who love the Del Fuegos and as a matter of fact everyone I know love the Del Fuegos!
unfortunately this killed their career doing a beer commercial, was seen as a SELL OUT in the 80s, now every hipster lets their songs be in commercials
If my memory serves right, this commercial actually preceded their great first album. It was a very memorable spot and probably helped them. They sold a lot of records for a few years.
I can't for the life of me remember the OLD Adage but it has something to do with what's going on here about bashing something.... and it's better to be bashed than not bashed.... what am i thinking ?
man, i always loved this commercial - especially the ending. i was really happy to see that someone took the time and effort to put it up here. but...something made me start reading the comments...you people who can't keep your rude comments to yourself have some serious internal issues to deal with.
"Rock and Roll is folk music; it's for folks." That line has stuck with me ever since. I second the motion. I don't care if a band sells 10,000 or a million. If I like it, I like it.
Metalhaid, I believe that you are crossing the line with your comments. I hope you are joking. "school yard rumble they kick their butts" is a long way from "suck it long, and suck it hard". That's disgusting. Anyway the amount of hits or sales doesn't mean that much. The stooges, one of the greatest bands ever, never sold any records. I expect an apology from you for your inappropriate, nasty comments.
Uh...102 hits for 'Young Fresh Fellows' vs. 3000+ hits for 'Del Fuegos'...suck it, Charlene. Suck it long, and suck it hard. I bet you like the Bay City Rollers, too, ya poser.
The Del Fuegos are playing the Paradise in Boston in February! 2/22/12

Mystery solved!
I honestly never knew what genre the Del Fuegos played or what they sounded like.
Yet, the band's name was always nostalgic to me and I always wondered why I knew about them.
Now I understand that it was this patriotic brew commercial that left an impression on me when I was a kid.
Other than that, I don't react to any of their stuff.

haha. well, this is a long lasting 20-year old battle, right? please, let's not have any bloodshed like those beach boys v. beatles riots of 1966.

Young Fresh Fellows are cooler than the Del Fuegos anyday. In a school yard rumble they kick their butts!! :)
Del Fuegos are corny roots rock and the YFF's write great, fun songs! So ha, tag you're it!! :)

This commercial is from the mid-1980s... aka *twenty* years ago ? Wow, how time flies !

The single greatest (non-comedy) beer commercial ever made. Fucking Sinatra warbling for Michelob got nothing on these cats.

The Del Fuegos were good, but Moving Targets were SO MUCH better!

It's amazing what you can remember. I recalled this commercial as soon as I started watching it.
Durfy's Tavern, Scanlon's Hardware, LOL!
The Del Fuegos rocked. I took the kids to see Dan Zanes the other day, and it was a great show.

I'd better not let my kid see this--if he sees Dan Zanes endorsing Miller, he'll start wanting to drink bad beer!
