I thought the hardest was "Demi-Fiend" from Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga simply because he apparently can kill your entire party in one hit. He will kill you on turn 1 if you have anything equiped that nulls, absorbs, or reflects anything. He can also completely regain his health if you take too long to kill him. I personally haven't fought him, but I've read about him. And to him, you're just a random encounter because that's what song is playing.

@alkalineaverage However, I've actually seen more people beat Sephiroth than Demi-Fiend. Sephiroth, I have fought against, and he can be quite difficult. I personally haven't beat him, but I know many that have. Demi-Fiend, however, I don't really know many people that have.

E.G.G Station from Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode 1 because of these reasons.

1.You have to fight all previous bosses including the final boss.

2.No checkpoints

3.Not many rings

4.Homing attack is still not helpful

5.They are all old bosses from Sonic 1 & 2 but they now have new powerful attacks

6.The Giant Mech (Final Boss from Sonic 2 16-bit) is back and you need 35 hits to destroy it and the homing attack is nearly useless but worst of all you may be out of rings from the last 4 fights.

@Oeeshik thats true buddy i have sonic 4 episode 1 and yeah doctor eggman is tough but sephiroth is one shot and done while eggman is not that impossible like sephiroth and there is also an achievemnet to pass the level withooust getting it almost impossible though :(

@alkalineaverage the Mysterious Figure from Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep is way, waaayyy harder to beat than Sephiroth. I've seen some people that can't beat him at max level. The only real way to win is to have an insane amount of luck. I've completed every Kingdom Hearts game released in America 100%(KH, KH2, KH COM, KH 358 1/2 DAYS) and I can't even come close to beating this guy, and before anyone says something, NO, I don't have any of the Final Mixes or KH re:COM.

I understand if you picked sephiroth as hardest in KH2, But The Lingering Sentiment(AKA Terra AKA The Enigmatic Soldier) reigns supreme of all KH bosses as of today. However, I actually may have found the NEXT Hardest Boss of KH History! one of The reasons why KH Birth By Sleep is taking so long for a NA release is a NA exclusive secret boss. This guy looks tough, just look at him in the E3 video! Dual Blades of Doom and of course Crazy Organization XIII Tricks!

i think sephiroth IS pretty hard in some games (i had the most trouble with him in Kingdom Hearts One) but he isnt the absolute HARDEST EVER in game history. Some games, like Suikoden III, Metal Slug, and Secret of Mana have harder bosses than Sephiroth. in Metal Slug 3, this huge effing last level took me DAYS to beat without dying, since it's an arcade game! i always run out of quarters on that damn stage cuz there's so many damn enemies and that final boss is just...GAH!

No, it's for PS3 (I'm lucky to have one, lots of cool games). Demon Soul's itself is hard, as it's like a 3D Ghosts and Goblins - every time you die, you get sent back to the beginning (the start of the level, I mean. You don't lose all your progress - items you pick up will stay with you - but the enemies re-spawn every time you die). So just beating the game is quite an accomplishment, especially if you don't look at online guides or anything.
