  • Fail en masse.........................

  • I can't believe I sat through that.

  • does the u.s. get aid from other countrys?

  • This is true. Never forget. History has shown that it can and will repeat itself.

  • in regards to people commenting that people should just rise to the attention of and succeed that way, and THE American idea that you can do anything, noting stands in your way really dont (in my opinion) understand how the world works. Its true that every once in a while or that a single individual can sometimes accomplish, but the majority dont, and its not bcus they r sub par or any fault of their own. Thats what programs and policies like this try to correct

  • While I would like to support this effort as I support its ultimate goals, the effort is ill-conceived and especially in this statement fails to articulate the essential principles of individual rights.

Further, the ad hoc disintegrated nature of this initiate testifies to the State Department's failure to leverage its distributed infrastructure of ambassadors and embassies to implement policy while developing a score card metric for assessing our bilateral relations.

  • They all only talk... in reality nobody cares

  • cool

  • Women should rule the world... because they don't need to fight with everyone (except Kyle's mom).

And in fact, they looks like much better in TV than men.

  • *that's why women CAN'T rule the world

  • I have no idea what that last part means but for the most part, this American agrees.

  • i'm curious, who determined that women are only supposed to raise children?

  • Their immense emotions that can not be provided to the child by men. they are more caring and passionate about that.

  • dear state dept, i need a job. can i work for you condoleeza, ill be ur assistant.

  • Isn't this discriminatory?

If you choose someone because of their gender, then you are discriminating.

Can't we just allow an individual's ability to be the method of discrimination?

  • Well said! The best 'frame' for discrimination arguments. Thanks, D.

  • - that the Bush Regime's policy in Iraq was an open, deliberate, carefully considered violation of the Nuremberg-based laws against aggressive war: principles articulated most forcefully by America's own representative to that international tribunal, and which were later incorporated into the UN Charter

  • The War Crimes Confession of Condi Rice

    Tuesday, 04 April 2006

The incomparable Robert Parry puts Condi Rice clearly in the frame for war crimes after her extraordinary confessions during her trip to the UK last week -- confessions that have been entirely ignored by the US press. While there was a brief flurry over her casual remark about "thousands of tactical mistakes" in Iraq, no one but Parry caught her admission -- nay, her boast -

  • haha you people (liberals) are such idiots

  • There she is she succeded in what she wanted to do. no glass roof nothing. She is black and a woman and black the femminism and Scociety say to people like her you cant succede because you are black and a woman and you need our help thats not true a person can do whatever he or she wants as long as they dont wait for somone else to give it to them

  • Condy is a great woman ,she is a leader , I admire her highly !

  • that government is best which governs least

  • shocking!

  • CONDI ROCKS :) :) !!!!!!!!!!

  • Condelisa Rice is awesome

  • I'm sure enjoys profiting from the war in Iraq. Yum yum. Nice profit.

  • Surprise neo cons let her talk like this

  • its not isreals poolboy its britians poolboy

  • she's working for the most injust governement of the US ever...

  • I love you, Rice

  • Carly Fiorina... The lackluster, former CEO of HP who received a severance pay of $19-21 million. Yeah, we can't raise minimum wage, but we can give marginal CEOs millions to thank them for a poor job while any remaining profits don't trickle down, but pour out to India as we outsource. But that's globalization, eh? Westerners require too much money... the very Westerners that have built these companies.

  • I support Condoleezza, and I think most Americans don't have any idea how much other women in the world are dreaming to have thier freedom... for some women who want to be depended on somebody's shoulders and not to challenge themselves - I will say - it is your choice, but others have to have rights to be what they want to be... well - freedom is a price what our solders paid for our lives. God Bless America and All!

  • only so they can control them too.

  • Yet another comically shortsighted and foolhardy tactic of meddling with the culture of Iraq (everyone know where this fund is going, but god forbid Condi tell it straight). Yes, women are downtrodden in many countried and yes we find this dispicable from our ivory tower, but the women of Iraq can only empower themselves and an American "initiative" to empower women from another culture is almost assuredly a waste of money and resources because they are not us and they shouldn't have to be us.

  • Now I can respect your approach to this debate. I don't like the whole "comically shortsighted" part but you do have a good point. When cultures collide there is much difficulty in store but I do remember when the Pakistani woman who was running for office was assassinated. I can't remember her name offhand and I'm about to rush out the door to tend to some business so I'll leave you with this question to consider. Was that not comically shortsighted?

  • you presuming we entered iraq to liberate them, I guess Imperial Japan liberated China, and Germany liberated Norway,

    We invaded Iraq for Iraq,

  • It's good to see someone who isn't blinded by this horrible administration's ridiculous polices.

  • I don't have high hopes for the results but I don't think it's a bad idea to push initiatives that might re-ignite passion about women's rights in that region and globally. My guess is that these initiatives are related to women's working roles in society; I don't think they're going to be giving out short skirts and fake tits. If Iraq can be added to the short list of ME countries where women freely serve in government and business I'm all for it.

  • The U.S. isn't even a real country, anymore. It's Israel's poolboy.

  • ????

  • what?

  • Do you seriously believe that? We defend our allies or we wouldn't have alligned ourselves with them in the first place. Can you put a price on peace? - Dave Mustaine

  • That is horrible!!!!!!!! First off- if you live in America- show respect to it. You are looking to be able to live in this free country, and have the freedom to say things like that. Second- America and Israel are allies- and thats it!

  • its the other way around idiot we the one who gives them money if they dont do what we do we could cut funds if we want

  • she is a beautiful leady.she is working for peace in our world.

  • Global warming in five latters H.A.A.R.P. look it up and you will find out its a 1 billion watt microwave that our military uses

  • go on...

  • Ha!

  • I don't think so.

  • i hate how some people think!

  • Some wives have to go to work, not out of a desire to be part of the "women's lib" movement but because they have to! If they didn't provide a second income their family would not be able to pay the bills! And, judging by your poor English skills, you may want to study more instead of engaging in easily disproven conservative sound bytes!

  • Work on my English skills? If women didn't want to work then why would they have historically made it a point to fight for that right. Conspiracy theorist are all the same. They're angry and they twist the truth in whatever way they can to sound rational. You're not fooling me though. Peace!

  • the war for oil is not a conspiracy theory. Sorry but you are just unintelligent to call it a conspiracy theory. Maybe you should look at facts instead of watching movies.

  • The EPA is the real war monger here I guess. We have plenty of oil in the U.S. Bush has been wanting to drill more within our borders for a long time. I know this and steps are being taken to do that still. I just don't see how liberating women is a bad thing. Unless someone had a good enough reason to keep their mouths shut.

  • oh please.. we all know this is part of some other agenda they aren't saying.

  • haha empower women in muslim countries...

    cia operations, with women terrorist

  • Secretary Rice said that we should empower women who live in muslim countries.

  • forget muslim countries (a worthy cause no doubt)..but all she did was promote herself...what causes of women did she promote anywhere during the 8 years we saw her?..in fact she disgraced women!!

  • And I have every confidence that she means exactly what she is supporting in this speech, regardless of what the people who are worried about the type of implications this brings about would have me believe. Freedom regardless of who it's for and where it is being initiated must be bought with a price, madeconstudent. As an American I say yes.

  • Sparknutz- Did you read what you wrote-? You tend to babel we don't know what your trying to say-

  • Apparently you're uneducated then. Women are not represented in many countries in the way that they are in countries that enjoy such freedoms that we enjoy in countries ruled by democracies such as the U.S. where people have sovereign power and have a choice in how their countries are managed. Examples: suffrage, the right to work, and even so minimal as the right to think for themselves. Take an English class or get a dictionary and then we can maybe discuss this on an even playing field.

  • i am not for the war we are going to have to empower the women some other way. 1100 prisoners were let free in Kandahar we can't just go tell the forces to go round em up a again that is demoralizing. as a Canadian i say No

  • can you be more clear please? i can't understand what you are trying to say.

  • I'd be more impressed with Rice if this were still the 1980's and the Cold War was still on. That's her foreign policy specialty. Like most, she couldn't imagine that the world situation would change and leave her behind (it shows in the Bush foreign policy decisions/blunders from the last 8 years).

  • Why is this propaganda on YouTube? She talks about a woman's potential, but actually, the Bush administration helps limit women's lives around the world by helping deny women access to family planning. Also, instead of putting money into education, the US just puts more and more money into war. Also, they overthrow the country in the Middle East where women had the most rights to education and work, Iraq, while supporting countries where they have no rights, like Saudi Arabia.

  • Why are you on youtube. Shouldn't you be so afraid of Global Warming you shun all electricty to stop climate change?

By attacking Iraq we stopped the government sanction rape patrols that denied the Iraqi women family planning

  • dont be ignorant he is telling da truth

  • Did you know the sun is burning hotter? Do you think humans on earth are making that happen? Global warming is nothing more than a scare tactic so they can tax more and more as well as control almost every aspect of your life while hiding the truth. The hidden elite create crisis after crisis and offer solutions for the crises they create. You saying we should be "so afraid of global warming..."says you have been completely fooled by people you cant even see so good luck in ur future

  • Yes they want to tax carbon emissions (the same carbon you exhale) as well as tax Television and Video Games.

  • business-side of how things worx

  • peter dow, where are you bro, you love this woman

gabriel collett, oh well she was at google lately

what is happening to our beloved nato oh well, shes allright this condi

except for this date 5 June 2008

  • tl;dr

  • Secretary Rice... not just another pretty face....

  • let me guess...it's for national security, right?

  • blablablablabla....

  • We all hate the US

  • boring

  • Condy is a great woman, i admire her highly. However as an Iranian i do not fully appreciate her mild and reconciliatory attitude towards the barbarian Islamic Theocracy In IRAN which is denying human rights for not only the minorities but even for the the majority of the population in Iran, namely women!

  • A pro at work...

  • Nice reading job.

  • Uhhh for your antimale sexism, I'm giving your One Woman drivel One Star!

  • how about we just spend every cent domestically and make our country insanely prosperous and then our women will indeed become empowered
