My husky is 5.5 years old, i walked with him to forest and he several times run out off me (sorry for my bad english) and he aweys returned to home after several hours, for last year i did not walked with him to forest because hi is hunting animals, like rabbits and roes, that is prohibited in my country, and i want avoid propblems wiht police...

Just curious,... after letting her run freely like this, have you ever had to search for her? All the books and Siberian Husky experts warn you to NEVER let your Husky off a leash purely for the reason that their instinct is to run and if they spot something more interesting than nine times out of ten they will run and run never to be seen by their owner again. My Husky is 14 months old and I have NEVER trusted him off the leash,.. just wasn't worth the risk to me!

How do you get your huskies to behave so well off leash? All I've ever been told is that no matter how well trained they are, huskies will bolt at any opportunity, it's just in their nature.

@MyJessiB We try! We forgot how much energy a 1 yr old husky has...she runs around crazy in the house if we don't work her out. Also, she's our alarm clock :) As soon as the sun comes up she starts to throw her toys around!
