Being Nicaraguan, this is very awesome to me. Reminds me a lot of when my family down there would take me to these towns and we'd do some site seeing. Keep up the great job Pete!
did you say 6 modes of transport from the border to leon?!?! i am going to try to get from granada nica to Guatemala.. which way do you suggest. I am also female so i dont want to travel too late.....ayuda Peter!! Porfa:)
HI PETER: mate!....... great trip! but you gave El Salvador a "miss", WHY? I can't understand it, mate..... it's one of the most beautiful countries, friendly people, great food, good highways; probably you were scared of the gangs. Hope you take the oportunity to visit El Salvador, I recommend to travel along Carretera del Litoral, this is a highway that goes along the pacific coast and there are great spots for surfing and picturesque cheap hotels, don't miss it next time. CHEERS MATE
@auscorpio7 His best decision ever made was to skip El Salvador. It's fucking deadly. Literally man. I've seen news reports that the "maras" will stop the public buses and kill the bus drivers just cause they owe 20 dollars. El Salvador is the most dangerous country in Latin America.
great videos bro, but why you skipped El Salvador?? El Salvador is so beautiful you should have visit our land and try some pupusas they're really good. 2 thumbs up, thanks for showing love for Central America :)
Peter, my friend; you must have a stomach made of cast iron. I once ate some roadside food in Honduras and couldn`t leave the bathroom for three days. Love the vids. Keep up the great work and be careful.
I love your videos.. i have been watching them since day 1.. and everyweek i patiently way to see the next episode.. .. I assume that you are back to LA because of the editing .. there are images from way early videos that are comming now... anyways.. i really enjoy watching them.. i am surprised you didnt get mugged down there with your crew waliking and carring a camera.. LOL!! good times!!
US News and World Report just had a short article about great inexpensive places to retire overseas and it mentions Leon, Nicaragua and Las Tablas, Panama.
Great video! I have to ask one question.. they say "don't drink the water"... how has your digestive system held up on this trip? You have been eating lots of local food... any issues?
@LuuKen my theory is that street food is safer to eat than resort food. The street food is prepared for the locals by the locals. Where the resort food is prepared by the locals for the tourists. I've heard more stories of people getting sick staying at 5 star resorts as opposed to backpackers eating street food.
ahh... the spoils and essence of travel. getting into situations you have no clue as to the outcome, language obstacles, hot and sweaty weather, cheap food/beer/buses/beaches/ganja/hostels/entertainment, cold water showers, lush scenery, getting ripped off, cultural exchange... these are the jewels of life. latin life is so raw yet so inviting down there in central america. i've spent over a month in costa rica. you'll dig it once you cross into the country guaranteed. keep the videos rolling.
your vids are awsome man. been watching the entire trip. You are doing so much more than the boring youtubers that just record themselves sitting on their couch and get a million views. You should be getting tons more views than you are. Great job,
dude, these vids are ossum! but you don't have much farther until panama. dang it! if you plan on going on another trip soon let me know. i work in the aviation industry here in the States, i may be able to help you out.
In my country it's always these old men on tv that travels trough countries. This appeal more to young people which it on tv should do since they do all the traveling.
Great videos, man. I've traveled much of the States and Europe already, but your videos inspire me to make use of my Spanish and travel Central and perhaps South America. Thank you for your interesting and informative videos.
hahaha hey great job, loving it like always and wanting it to be longer like always. -------------------------------any how at 0:30 i thought the first guy was you. people thumb me up if you thought the same
Dude i've been watching you since L.A awesome videos. Why not stop in El Salvador? The beaches and surf there are awesome. Anyways I have been planning a similar trip myself next summer, any advice?
Peter your amazing man. I got super excited to watch this episode, can't wait for the next. A sad reality....this will end once you get to the Panama Canal. For now, I watch with interest while you expose parts of the world no one ever sees. Thank you!
Supercool! I have been watching your vids back since scootstars and pretty much all of them. I only wish they could be a couple mins longer as I can't wait until the next one. Keep up the great work!!
What i like about this documentary, is it reminds me of the book and film " The Motorcycle Diaries" when Che Guevara made a trip around South America on his motorcycle with his friend Alberto Granado. but your trip is more in to modern day.. i highly recommend watching the film or reading the book, very inspiring just like this trip by pdrop. your next trip should be around the Middle East.
