Beautiful video. However, the question was a distraction. I believe in creation and evolution. The universe has far to many mysteries. Its a human question applied to the infinite. I'm not about to assume I know.
I agree the question was a little distracting. The correct answer in the question is being Agnostic, We are Humans we are here, we've been around on the earth thousands of years before jesus or christianity and catholicism, We have no idea what created the big bang, or what created intelligent life all we know is where there is water and light you can find life, If god exists we have no idea what his will is because he has spoken to no one living on this planet in the past 2000+ years...
the pics r super clear, and i like the music. and i so believe the Bible....i mean, the evolutionists' theory doesn't make sense. there r too many gaps in the fossil record. they claim it's because the fossils have been destroyed. but have they considered that the gaps mean that there were no such animals that fit in those gaps? even Darwin had his own unpublished notebook that stated that he had doubts on his own theory
These are interesting! All religion is a joke because it was conceived by humans who selfishly want to live forever; even after they die (go to heaven forever). I do think that modern day religions will crumble and wither away given enough time (thousands of years more). Just remember that people used to actually believe in gods such as Zeus, etc.. Those people at that time truly thought Zues was real, just as people today think Allah, Jehovah or the Trinity are real.
I find it funny how people laugh at religious comments, without considering the fact that most knowledge of mankind came from a bunch of religious scientists (corpernicus, Kepler, Galileo, Newton, Einstein, Darwin (lol). Be more considerate towards people religious conviction since your knowledge came from individuals that believe in God. I would not want to laugh at the scientist listed above and call them blind or dumb for believing in God.
i think that 1000 years ahead Christianity will no longer exist humans has started to understand that it maybe just are a human creation,,,,,free you mind
Why praise him, if this creativity comes effortlessly to him (isn't he somewhat omnipotent?). I'd say, Jesus, dude, not bad, but what's with all the emptiness? Why not more Earth-like planets everywhere for Humans, your crowning achievement to spread to and multiply? Why all the lethal radiation accompanying all those pretty nebulae? Why? But, overall its a good effort :)
Another way of looking at it is if you see an expensive watch, with all it's intricacies, you know there had to be a watch maker, it's not going to make itself. Just like creation, there had to be a maker. Make's sense right?
God is just a belief. Science is fact! Space is an environment, maybe not the same environment that humans are used to but still an environment. Seeing as Earth is populated with so many different forms of species that are completely different from each other, it is possible that a more intelligent being (alien) has planted our genoms on this planet, and is now watching us grow. It is like an experiment a scientist would conduct with a pitri dish!
the only way i could possibly believe there is a God is if he started the Big Bang and then went "hands off". You see there are so many natural reasons and processes for the universe to unfold the way it did- on it's own- once it began. why would a God interfere? wouldn't it make more sense if God did exist at all that he would set the wheels in motion and then observe the self-creating and unfolding universe. his experiment or creation would be void if he personally affected the results.
It would, washmark, but then why is it necessary to assume he exists in the first place? Even if we are to assume to sort of omnipotent creator, why is it necessary that the universe is put together intelligently? What if it is some unintended by-product of, lets say, another project? Matter is scarce, space is wasted. Doesn't seem very thought-through :)
when two hydrogen atoms bonds with an oxygen atom to create a water molecule, do you then call these atoms god? if you're going to go into detail and ask who created these atoms, then you might as well ask who created god.
Excellent! So now we've found we can call God whatever created the "god" you mentioned. Whatever the material or process, I'm calling God thier creator.
You can call God the prime creator. Example: If you believe in evolution - God is the force/reason that caused it to happen.
so to you god is a material or process. god could be an iron ore or photosynthesis? not the judeo-christian god who created man under his own image, god?
You're missing the point. God is the CREATOR of all material processes. Man is a unique combination of both material & spirit & God CREATED both aspects in him (& her).
God is as abstract as ever. We'll never fully understand what God is, but I believe he put us here to try...
going of topic, how would you define someone's spirit as part of their being? subconscious, self-awareness, or the synapses in our brain? "spirit" just seems like what people from the earlier times would call something they can't explain, kinda like saying someone who is motivated has "heart".
seeing what we're seeing from the hubble is this same CREATOR still creating these billions and billions of stars and galaxies out there? why would an entity create something simply in order for the created to find out what the entity is? at the same time wars and oppression have been brought about under the different ideas of what "god" is.
As for the spirit question, I don't really know. I think it's reasonable to assume that whatever created the cosmos is still the same force (or whatever) still at work. I don't think different 'god's take turns.
Wars & other human problems are related to the 'spirit' question, & it seems irrelevant to cosmic issues. Kind of like trying to find a grand-unifying-theory in physics.
I do believe, however, that something like that exists & that there is only one grand creator of everything that/who we'll never FULLY be able to understand.
who's to say that someone(entity)consciously created the cosmos? when a cell reproduces through mitosis or meiosis, does it necessarily mean that someone willed it so? how do you know different "gods" don't take turn? how do you know there's only ONE grand creator? what are you basing these guesses on? I think there's a million martians out there creating the galaxies for some reproductive purposes, who's to say there aren't?
I never said I knew. If you look carefully you'll see I said I BELIEVE. It would take me quite some space to explain how I came to these beliefes & I'm not saying their correct.
But at the end of the day one has to ask themself: "Is my existance just a 'cosmic error', or is there a purpose to creation after all?"
My thought process began with a "yes" to the latter.
or so your parents told you or from what you read from a book written by some not-so-smart superstitious people who believed the world was flat while the sun revolved around it, or maybe you just like being told in what to accept as facts so long as it "feels" right!
Creation and evolution and migration from other planets and genetic manipulation are all true !!! We are genetically modified, to live less than 100 years, our cousins from Pleiadees live 1000 years. Only one gene needs to be reconnected, and we will live 1000 years, since we both are originally from Lyra. It will only be done when we spiritually evolve and drop all religion!
Last week, while visiting relatives on Uranus, I met an Onglongitron - a quite remarkable creature with 2 heads and 4 arses. She had just teleported from the Buttachin galaxy and she gave me a souvenir - the book of true knowledge - known throughout the unknown universe as the Babble.
You cannot come to an understanding of an existence of god by using a definition of a god as a tool, or by using faith in said god as a tool. There is no evidence of the existence of a god.
What if another civilazaion was found? Creationists won't be able to deny it, so they will look for clues that so and so prophet said such and such thing and that means he knew about other civilazations. But now that there is no proof, they're ofcourse quiet. As far as everything being an accident, I find that completely believable.
The problem is that us humans think we are so cool that to say we are an accident would be degrading, and would make us trivial and insignificant.
Evolutionists did not say it was an accident, they state it is unknown. God is human in my opinion. He creates a world, creates life and asks them to worship him, otherwise they burn in hell for eternity. Hmmm, ego-ridden bastard god is.
yeah perhaps evolutionists knows what GOD is, you know what we humans believe we believe in things that we can easily benefit from and that makes us selfsustainable for example in dollars and big macs or screwing beutiful women.fuck themselves and then ask their seedballs why they dont spring out and make babies up there in their own ass, why is there so many questions unanswered cause there isn't anything logical with a human life without faith and believe, first think human then think space!
Who knows what created it all, yes thats right i said WHAT not WHO!
we wont ever leave this planet until free thinking replaces all irrational beliefs and we educate everyone to understand how or why things happen, Not just say god did it!. Our civilisation has come to far for blissful ignorance to rule anymore....Peace
If time is infinite, and matter is finite then every possible combination of matter will occur; we are just one scenario. If the "newton realist" view of physics is true, then there is no beginning or end - matter can not be created or destroyed-(which is far more beautiful to me than the idea of some arrogant image of man - "God").
I think people should wake up and smell the real coffee. That is that homo sapiens did not evolve from monkeys. we were biologically designed. The person who put up this video tagged icke for searches as in david icke, s/he knows what I am talking about. Search David Icke to understand what I mean.
Great video! I love the Hubble. But there at the end - that's not what evolutionists believe at all. The theory of evolution only describes the process of how life has changed over the millenia on this planet, and it's backed up by LOTS of observation. Like all science, it does not try to explain WHY it happens that way. Science and religion are not incompatible for anyone that understands this. And, heck, the Hubble is a device built by scientists!
Sceintist used to believe that it was chance that pust US here. that we were a unique creation, and that out of chance life was created becaues it hit the jackpot...with the recent discovery of other solar systems and planetary systems we are beginning to understand that life can exist in the most extreme of environments and that evolution has occured throughout our galaxy, and the universe and our galaxy. Just a thought
The universe is beyond the comprehension of mere talking monkeys like ourselves. If you think your more important than a talking monkey in the grand scale of this universe then for god sake pull your head out of your arse and smell the coffee.

A curious hypothesis, but a hypothesis, nonetheless, lulu.

@lulu7777 Actually, you missed a step in the evolutionary process. There was a stint on Mecara before Lyra.

And so it came to pass and to be ......

The problem is that us humans think we are so cool that to say we are an accident would be degrading, and would make us trivial and insignificant.
disndat11 5 years ago

Man created god not the other way round.

Not every religion portreys God as an arrogant image of man...

We see only shadows of what is REALLY out there. We can only thank G-D (or Nature, if you preffer) for making them so beautiful to us.

The Universe goes beyond what you consider "GOD" (a laughable deity). Every part of it is merely a perception, there are no parts...
