I'm a progressive (the word liberal implies "weenie" in my opinion), and I can't stand Maria Cantwell.

I was a Hong Tran supporter, and I know she ran into a lot of red tape when she tried to campaign against Cantwell in the primaries.

Corruption is not a matter of being Republican or Democrat, but a matter of being a jerk. There are douchebags on both side of the aisle.

Man, oh man! The latest word on this: The ACLU has taken up the students' cause. No word from the Cantwell Regime. The students wore the t-shirts so they wouldn't be counted as Cantwell supporters. They were attending the rally as part of a class assignment. Go ACLU!

Well if McGavick supporters had a history of disrupting her prior appearances, I could partially understand it. But I don't want to see my party slither down the road of Bush/Cheney's loyalty oaths and inspecting parking lots for attendees who had Kerry or anti-war bumper stickers. I hope these students were more troubled by the dangerous practices by the head of their own party in '04, which unfortunately may have started this snowball.

lol! you've got it half right. mcgavic supporters are not known for disrupting appearances. anti-bush loons however are known for shouting down, banner drops, pie throwing, stage occupations and physical attacks on republican speakers, which is why you should "understand" the precautions taken by the bush campaign.

Tim Barry is a fascist idiot and should be fired and looking for a new job as I type. He was way out of line. Free speech was violated.  BCC should have stood up for their students' rights. I smell a lawsuit. Please keep me posted on all sequels to this story. Excellent video.
