As for U.S tv being shit what about Eastbound and Down or Curb your Enthusiasm? I like the American "Office " but never really got into the British version ( probably because I'm not a big ricky gervais fan

British comedy nowadays is in the toilet, any two bit comedian gets a show these days the last great British comedy for me was Phoenix Nights

There is a lot of complete and utter crap going about now. The entire media output of Britain which was one unsupassed with quality that couldn't be matched by anybody has failscaded into a dreary mess. The entire British culture is now just a mish mash of any and all absorbed into one with no quality control at all.

tv in the US sucks, but film in the US rocks like nothing else. There are a few US sitcoms that I like, Scrubs, The Office (obviously Ricky Gervais and Merchant created it), but the yanks made it better. But, yeah stuff like this is great.

Agree UK Office was better but I have to say that the US version got a lot better lately and the Dawn character in the US version is really, really fuckable - Peep Show best of the lot - Mark, Jez, SuperHands and Johnson - these guys are fucking hilarious

totally disagree about the "Peep Show better for teens" call. I'm 39 and just about everyone of my Gen X mates absolutely loves Peep. The plot where Jez starts rooting Marks future mother in law was fucking hilarious, the teens these days seem to go for American based garbage like "Mall Detective" and "Family Guy".

Us Gen X'ers were lucky growing up as we had shows like Fawlty Towers and The Young Ones. THese shows were total classics.Thes days the kids are fed a steady diet of Pop Idol, Mall Cop, terrible music that's was created by 60 yo Jews in Hollywood and given to young black kids to perform of which they're lucky to get 5% of the sales revenue.The current system is totally flawed,as it's totally based on sales rather than quality. MOst movies are total crap but the kids are conditioned to accept it
