  • This video is the reason I love Youtube, thank you so much for taking the time to post this, lots of good memories

  • Heavens to Floyd Lawson! What a fun clip! I loved all those great shows they had on The Nashville Network, especially Ralph Emery's program. How marvelous to see Jack Prince & Hal Smith recreating their roles from the classic 60's sitcom "The Andy Griffith Show". THANKS for uploading this fantastic footage! CHEERS! :-)

  • This brought tears to my eyes.

  • WOW What a voice~~!!!!Man he sounded so awsome~!Gave me goose bumps.

  • Wow, fantastic. He still sounded great in his old age.

  • @lobo81865

I second that emotion! What a great voice !!!

  • Thank you for posting this. I love TAGS, especially the musical episodes. Rafe Hollister is a favorite character. This clip is so magical for me to see!

  • Thanks for posting this.

IMDB mentioned this in Jack Prince's profile, and I took a chance that someone might have posted it. Here it is.

    Good job BartBoat.

  • I hope neither of these 2 men who so entertained me never sufferred for even a second of their lives.

  • What a nice video

  • Jack Prince sings on the "Destry Rides Again" soundtrack. He sings

on Hoop-De-Dingle and Ballad Of The Gun w/Andy Griffith. The CD is out of

print, but you can buy MP3 downloads on Amazon.

  • what a treat! thanks for this. I have always wanted to hear more of Princes singing since I was little and heard that awesome voice on TAGS. If there were recordings to buy I would.

  • I'm a huge Andy Griffith Show fan...He did this same song on that show with Andy on guitar...WHAT A VOICE!!-

  • Such a wonderful voice. Thank you for posting this.

I agree! I just now looked up Jack Prince at imdb.com and he has NO TV or movie credits after his early 60's appearance on TV's "Andy Giffith Show". Have no idea how he made a living after that....something with music I hope, since he was such a gifted singer! He did appear on Broadway in the 50's, including a show that starred Andy ("Destry").

  • @JubalCalif :) I also did some research and didn't find much more than you did. Just that he was trained to sing at an early age. I didn't know that he was in a Broadway show with Andy. Doesn't surprise me much. Since Andy was very good at having actors/singers he had worked with before on his TV show. God gave him such a wonderful voice. I sure he continued singing and acting. I think people with a God given talent to do music will always find a way to share it with others.

Well said & well put! Thanks for an intellgent, articulate, entertaining & informative comment! Hope you & yours have a wonderful weekend! :-)

  • @JubalCalif Thank you for the compliment. As the sun is shining brightly this morning, I wish your week to be filled with sunshine and everything good. :)

  • Wonderful!

  • What a voice! Just a few short years before he passed, too. Rest in peace, Mr. Prince and Mr. Smith... May you both be looking down on us all from where you are at.

  • Wow .. I learned these two men.. where more of my childhood than I thought!! Jack singing made my chest swell and tears to my eyes!
