Un TOP - Longtemps que je connaissais cette partition sur disque, mais quel plaisir que l'image corresponde tout à fait à l'idée que je m'en faisais. Surtout, ne manquez pas le final !!! Dommage que Mme Ricciarelli ait abordé des rôles trop lourds pour elle, ce qui nous a privé de cette voix puissante et fruitée ...

comme la voix est belle et l'aigu agréable à écouter. La ricciarelli était en forme ce jour là. Heureusment qu'on a filmé et qu'on peut encore en profiter!

It was because her voice was large that Muti and Abbado wanter her for Verdi. Because it was big and feminine (we don't get much of that).. but she really would have made a HUGE mark... hewr early Traviata's were also great... When she was on, she was GREAT! Her Maria Stuarda was also great!

I love her in this opera. Her final scene is memorable as well. I love how full, dark, round, imperious and ripe her sound is here. And she nails those high Bs! If it weren't for the dumb ending, this would be a dynamite opera!

you can say that again.... it would have been even better if she had not done all those Ballos, etc... it's so strnge because in those days you didn't have a big career unless you sang this Verdi and Puccini. She would have been one of the GREAT Bel Canto singers... Her was so beautiful, but still large..
