Just watched an interview with Phill on one plus one in Australia, i smiled through the whole interview. I am not a "qualified" Teacher however in my capacity within full stream disabilities Teaching Is What I do on every level. I chose this vocation to Teach The Educators how to learn from their others & to see "Ability", find the qualities and nurture them, realise that a percieved disability in essence is usually a Teachers inability to concieve a program that allows Students to truly shine.
I struggled as a trainee teacher and I never felt I was given enough advice on the deceptively difficult skills involved in teaching. The books I was given to improve my teaching were stuffy and not based on the real issues I faced. I will be buying your book ASAP. Also, I think you are very well dressed for a modern classroom. A proper shirt with cufflinks, a tie is not needed everyday and I think the waistcoat is a smart alternative to a tatty blazer or jumper.
i like the idea of paying students to produce written work but don't think it would go down well with management, other students or parents. celebrity teachers and bribery seems to be the the best way to engage kids in learning! i'm neither rich or famous so will have to do things the hard way i guess...some good tips though Phil
. ☆☆☆☆☆ Kudos Phill - see tedTalks on Youtube for thinkers & doers because i think you will reach even more Souls if you did a presentation on there.
