-_- i hate myself i keep tring to be a vegitarian but i cant convince my self to you know what the sad part is i raise and sell piggies :( i hate myself right now
this kinda made me cry, because being a vegetarian is very hard for someone like myself who is allergic to nuts and legumes. I will buy the song off itunes regardless, Ive tried being vegetarian, because im sick of the way of the way the animals are treated!
@HeartlessArchAngel69 ah, well it's not like you need eggs anyway. Food made from animals is unhealthy, and there's more cruelty in the dairy industry than in the meat industry. I hope you'll try to find viable alternatives to non vegan foods you have in your diet :\ are you allergic to roots?
@seymourLlama eggs? whos dairy industry are we talking about here? I grew up around new zealands free roaming dairy farms. Vegans eating varied diets containing vegetables, legumes, nuts, and seeds rarely have any difficulty getting enough protein, in order to keep enough protein up id have to eat MORE of the foods with lower protein in larger qantities in order for it to be sufficent. eg 1 Baked Potato only 4g protein id have to eat 2 potatoes to equal 2tbsp peanut butter.
@seymourLlama I never said anything about milk and eggs as a source of protein, it all comes down to first and second source protein. If 40g of oats is a serving then 156g of oats seems like a hell of a load of oats!
hows it not limiting if I have to eat a bucketload of oats, rice, and grains to get enough protein? meat substitutes are generally made from soy, milk substitutes are often made from soy.
@seymourLlama They feed them a vitamin deficient diet to make their meat more tender and they kill them for veal, the saddest part is that for their short lives they keep them confined and don't give them water or care, they are basically just products sitting waiting to be killed and processed.
@TheSqueenie Yep, but the same goes for every other specie exploited by humans. Are you a vegan? (sure sounds like it)
The property status of non human animals is really the fundamental problem in all this. Human slavery is always regarded as wrong (no matter how "humane" the treatment), non human slavery, not so much, because of speciesism. It's very sad.
@seymourLlama Yes, I am vegan actually just since the beginning of this year, I was a vegetarian for about 2 years before that. I think we (the consumers) have the power to stop all of that, all we need to do is stop supporting those cruel industries that exploit animals. Other than watching what we put into our bodies you really need to be careful not to contribute using products tested on animals (most). I think as we evolve as a society this will stop, I just hope it is during my lifetime.
@HeartlessArchAngel69 are you allergic to seaweed? 64g protein for 110g spirulina. 26g protein for 156g oats. it's not like you need milk and eggs for protein... animal protein isn't even good for humans, it's solid at ambient temperature and clogs the arteries, casein (milk protein) is acidic and drains calcium out of the bones, not that problem with plant protein. Cereals, pasta, grains are all good sources of protein.
LOL this is amazing, loving the feel good vibe

@seymourLlama show me a completely balanced vegan meal plan with no legumes, soy or nuts, then I may be convinced!
