LMAO, CAS LATENCY is the delay, between when the Memory Controller,

recieves a command to access a memory point, and when the memory BIT

image is gated thru to the Memory chip's output pins. On MY memory chips,

on MY 8 gig laptop, the CAS Latency is 12 nano-seconds. What MOST

amateur bit flippers like you don't understand is that RAM CAS and SPEED

are not the same thing. The bigger the memory, the faster the electronics,

the larger the CAS latency. Memory chips haven't changed.

and looked up the CAS Latency of 256 K memory chips from the 1990s,

and THEIR cas latency was 12 nano-seconds, identical to my modern chips.

FASTER military grades, (IR seekers for Air to air missiles) SOMETIMES

ranged down to 8 nano seconds, at extremely high cost, and low production.

Now I have 4 GIG, DDR-1333 memory, but it responds in 12 ns, just like 1991.

Dual channel memory has faster CAS latency because it's being addressed over dual channels, you incredibly stupid MORON.

The Operation algorythm is to present an address at ONE channel, then the 2nd.

The first channel returns IT's memory data in half the time because you spent half

the time writing to the 2nd, DUAL channel.

The total time is still 10 to 12 nano seconds, but your CPU gets TWO byte words

submitted to the CPU Registers instead of ONE.
