Luis has some of the most relaxed, efficent playing I have ever seen on electric (physically). Obviously Shawn Lane was the epitome, but still this is rare mechanics here - zero wasted motion (watch a few more of his vids). You can certainly find faster, but for pure form it doesnt get much better than this. I point my students at these videos, the camera angles and sound are excellent.

Almost right.. theres a few notes that you're hitting that are an octave too low, if you listen carefully to the piece he gets some really high notes that im not hearing in your playing. Dont get me wrong did you a fantastic job and JB would like it but its not 100% correct. Great job tho buddy!

No Zhangsux isn't better, nor is he worse. This was completely flawless, the only difference is the sound they both use, and that Zhangsux plays the WHOLE thing while luis only play the coolest part :)

Hey, put a sock in it. The tabs are wrong! When you listen to alttiudes, you can clearly hear that 'Jason' slides up to the 19 fret, and back down to from 15th to 12th fret on the second string...Thats what gives it such a magic sound!

I'm not taking any credit away from this performance, it is terrific BUT... It's the nuances that are the differnce between sounding like a human with feel playing a Jason becker solo and then a robot playing it!

not to be cocky ( I know it's a very small detail), but Jason used sliding minor arpeggios in this song, which makes it a bit harder.

this guy doesn't, but he uses the same notes yes indeed, and play them smoothly and gracefully:)

I am totally with you. I have thinking to myself over and over why the fuck can't someone have the msuical ear to work out the arpegios are sliding. Even the tabs wrong. There's no hope lol. Credit to felipe. It was starting to drive me mad with all the cover versions on here playing it wrong.

Not that this guy isn't fantastic but it proves you need more than great technique to be a great musician

@IgoRthethrasher If you listen really carefylly to the song you will hear it. Think Jason even misses a note on the album version.

No not at all, this "straight-up-and-down" method is alot easier, and I will use it anyday before atempting at some slide-arpeggios

it's probably not to do the same as everyone else I guess. Yngwie Malmsteen does his own way on the minor sweeps, also a bit harder than the regular one.
