  • cool sound

  • It's just a hair too loud for my tastes, but it does sound good. Nice looking bike too. The backfires might be caused by a leak in the exhaust, a hole allows fresh air to be pulled into the exhaust system and that'll cause backfires sometimes. A smaller pilot jet, or low speed, whatever you call it in a bike carb might be needed too. If it's burblin at low load low speed they're too rich, the pipes and plugs will tell the tale.

  • What year and engine size did this start out as?

  • Any pictures of that bike on the internet? I would like to see what you did to the rear part of the frame.

  • The sound is a bit off, I needed to adjust the carbs and put in new plugs. Runs smooth now with just a slight burble.

  • @Mangonotforget

Hey my 650 boxer pops like that too. I leaned out the pilot jet and also the jet needle and still can't get it to stop popping on deceleration.

I'm running JRC carbs and HD 36" fishtails. Your bike sounds good!

  • I'm loving that overrun.

  • @AhilMohan yea! Great popping!

  • That is the most beautiful bike I've ever seen

  • Just saw the for sale ad on CL. That's one kick ass bike!

  • Hey, still like the bike, met ya outside coffee shop on the drive, very cool

  • bitchin airhead man. you've inspired me ... i'm so close to pulling the tigger and bobbin my toaster tank. rock on

  • You should, you should....I have a '65 R50 that I've slowly been blackening & bobbing. Weird shape for a cafe/bobber bike, but its looking mean. The best part is how much it annoys older Airhead guys.
