I simulated this using a high coefficient of friction (rubber on rubber) and the "contact" function to make a "rubbing" connection between the different pieces. the back orange pieces are linked by gears, and the red is given an input velocity.
Good work .. but can I know the steps to do something like that using ADAMS .. I tried to do so before but I failed .. So, It would be very nice if you told me how to do that ??
What are the dimensions of the discs and the rollers? I'm particularly interested in the diameters. Thank you.

Nice rendering, in new adams, you can use EHL friction model

Very nice. May I ask what material you would actually use to make a toroidal cvt? It seems like rubber would wear out quickly.
