chick is sorta hot if you like chicks with big ass noses that are useless for breathing out of, because it's apparent she's breathing through her mouth, which is crowded with teeth...I'd hit it.
I love the Lefty Frizzell version of this, but it is a bit to mello. The version of the Chieftons is much more of an anchent type which I like. BUT BEST OF ALL IS YOUR VIDIO !!!! It is such a beautiful meaningful methode that you designed. I very rarely see such wonderful personlally made video's like this. I have to give you 5 stars.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Well... it's not just the nose, it's her overbite that one notices simultaneously. And a long capey-cloaky-thingy is not the same as a veil. A veil covers the head or the face.
But the video model notwithstanding, great job. Not bad for a modern uptake on a song that's been around since 1959 when Lefty Frizell first recorded it.
ya all ARE wrong it was writen by a ghost that this actualy happened to it might have come from
the living but the ghost came through and toldem wat to sing this is a true story that happened a long time ago you dont have to belive but i used to be the ghost and i know becous i was there
For all you young fols out there. This song was actaully written by a great talent named William "Lefty" Frizzell he wrote this in "1959" enjoy. and you owe it to yourself to listen to all of his stuff.
Yes that is correct I meant recorded by...their names were Dill and Wilkin. I believe Wilkin was female who actually wrote it the melody was Dill's...I stand corrected
Mick Jagger does a great job on this song I use to sing to anyone who would listen when I was in college in Houston. Was a Bobby Bear (spelling) recoding I first heard.
Of course you can...I recommend music videos as the place to start, because for the most part it doesn't require capturing audio in the field. You just have the song that you play under the video like in this one
This was beautiful. I love old country it has so much soul. This is one of my favorite songs along with Kern River, Sunday Morning Comming Down,Seven Spanish Angels, and The Highwaymen. Long live the ability to write and sing a real song. God bless em!!
This isn't an Irish folk song. It was written by an American woman who also wrote a lot of Nashville hits. Can't remember her name but I read her obituary [ I think she died last year].
Like you, I thought it was a cheesy subliminal message, but I managed to freeze frame on itand it turns out that it ISN'T a subliminal message, but the word UNRENDERED. In other words, they told the software to do a transition (probably a slow fade) and the software didn't render it -- hence the warning message. Too bad they didn't fix this -- it ruins an otherwise decent little home music video.
it's not a subliminal message...it says unrendered. What happened was that where it says that- it's supposed to be a transition like a dissolve or a fade. However, to upload a video here on youtube, you need to compress it...and in doing so, I lost the transitions and a lot of visual quality...hence why it looks so grainy.
I've heard this song recorded by the Kingston Trio (1960s) and later by Johnny Cash. It's an interesting song although this version here is much slower than the ones by KT and JC.
This is an old Irish folk song, I doubt anyone knows who first sang it. I don't know who first recorded it. There are better versions to this song than this one. Mick is an interesting choice to sing this.
No phoenix, it really is the internationally renowned band THE Chieftains. With Mick Jaggar of the Rolling Stones singing. Look up the 1995 album, and next time check the previous comments that explain all of that before you try to correct the video poster and his information!
I wasnt correcting anything, i was asking a question, and forgot to put????? at the end, is that ok with u, wat sort of chip have u got on ur shoulder mate???????????????????????????????????? Ok now that is a direct question
you dumb fucker...he didnt call you a mick...he was talking about mick jagger. as for sounding like a southern song ( which in america, we call country music ), the song was written by a country musician named lefty frizzel, and made famous by "internationally reknowned johnny cash" i think mick jagger was trying to capture the country essence of the song. oh...and he and the chieftans made an awesome track together.
I wrote that comment @ 1 oclock sun morn i was slightly the worse for wear ill admit, but listen mate, if u have something to say say it without profanic name calling, calling someone a "dumb fuck" shows ur arrogance and primitiveness!!!!!
thank you for the fantastic music you put on you-tube!! As a fan I want to ask you this: do you know the number EMIGRATION THEME? I'm searching for a very long time for this number/album. Please help me and sorry for my broken english,
Yes it is a Young Mick.I have this Chieften's record somewhere, and a tape of Gaelic music, that includes Marrianne Faithful singing when love gets older.I like this version.I didn't know the song was from 1959, and by Lefty Frizel. When I use dto listen to it by Mick, I thought it was a much older song.
Thanks for the video!!!That black weil is a spooky touch!
"Young Mick"? They recorded this in 1995, according to the liner notes. That'd put him over 50 at the time, right? Is there some other version I'm not aware of?
I think it's an old Mick. He was featured on the Chieftains' 1995 record "Long Black Veil" with a lot of other big pop names. It's possible there is another version, I suppose, but I doubt it.
