  • 1.21 GIGAWATTS!

  • if ur selling it how much do u want for it?

  • @unaclocker ...okay! ...c’est la vie baby!!!

    ...harr harr...

    M

  • When i'm done school i'll learn about electricity and soldering stuff so i can build my own go cart :D

  • go johny!

  • now hes the coolest kid in the neiborhood

  • Damn hippy kart.

  • where can i buy one and for how much?

    i there a website

  • @saadmetla I built it, you could build one too.

  • how long does it last cus i hate electrics for that reason they take to long to charge

  • @popsnacks2 With the cheap lawnmower batteries, a couple hours, 2-3 depending on how hard it's being ridden. Bigger batteries would go longer. Charge time could be solved by hot swapping the batteries. Keep a couple on the charge while riding it. 3 hour charge time would be perfectly safe for the batteries.

  • looks like the go kart is driving itself.

  • how old is that kid!!!

  • put a real engine in it, 300cc

  • @georgequinn12 You mean 3kw.. heh.. No gas powered engines for me. My kids are the next generation, they're all electric. :)

  • @unaclocker Really, Well Can you make some with more speed. In my imagination I thoguht it would go super fast. But not like car speed. i Would love to drift in the snow. It would be hilarious! Let me know soon

  • @unaclocker better start saving for a tesla then.

  • @unaclocker I don't see why electric would be any more the future than a super efficient gasoline engine. That power still has to come from somewhere, and it mainly comes from coal now, so it aint much better for the environment

  • @THizzle80

Actually, only 45% of our power comes from coal, and electric motors make more efficient use of power (85%) than internal combustion engines which waste 75% of the power in gasoline as waste heat and transmission losses. I cannot post links here for some reason but if you google "mit wheel to well analysis of evs" without quotes, the first result is an MIT study demonstrating that EVs are cleaned than gas vehicles even on the current grid.

  • @georgequinn12 i ugree

  • love the song

  • omg man i was just looking for gokart ideas and im a hardstyle hardcore techno lover but when i heard this song i fell in love with it lol sweet kart too but the song omg

  • how olds that kid? he's great is that a schools parking lot? he can be the bus driver great job

  • I think he was 6 at the time. And yeah, great big school parking lot with no speed bumps, and shaped like a race track. And best of all, there was a gate keeping traffic out on the weekends. Worked really well.

  • pretty cool you got me smiling

  • I have a motorized couch that I'm thinking of changing from gas powered to electric powered. It's a pretty unique couch with two pit bikes attached to it, one under each arm-rest. Can you tell me what motors you used and maybe a little about the controllers. vicsim65 is my channel and you can see it there. Thank you.

  • watch out for cars!

  • whats the name of that go kart it looks like fun

  • I never named it.. Just called it "the electric go-kart I built".. heh..

  • lil mad max action

  • If that's not the "MAN" sticking it to the public and steering you to continue to BUY profitable non renewable sources of electricity and power - then I don't know what is........it's simple really - no profit in one generator and a guy watching it - by the way the generators they use in Cnanada have been operating trouble free for 50 FIFTY years - the government has to make money somewhere.........time to make my own solar cells and screw them to the roof

  • Isn't flowing water an unlimited natural resource?

  • Not in Washington State, we passed an asinine law that says that Hydroelectric power doesn't count as a renewable resource generated power. So we get surcharged massively for all of our electricity. I think my power bill has doubled in the past 5 years thanks to that crap..

  • You know - the North Eastern United States gets it's energy from Canada - and that energy is called Hydro electric - Yep - that's right - if you can find flowing water (like the Mississippi for example) you can put hydro electric generators there and provide enough energy for both your Country and part of someone elses, but I guess Americans have never heard of that before because it's not as profitable as mining coal or extracting crude - oh well - stupid is as stupid does

  • what's name of the soundtrack? thanks

  • go johnny go

  • this song makes me think of the 70's

  • it looks like it is lol...

  • can't belive u guys are complaining, it would be almost impossible for the kid to fall off that thing.

  • Hey you wanna make me one? xD

  • where do you get it from

  • is that full speed plz reply on channel?

  • on channel? I'll reply here, if this is what you mean, woohoo.. haha.. Anyways.. Yes, it's full speed, seems like I clocked it at 16mph downhill. Been a couple years. Was only a 350watt motor, but even the 750watt motor doesn't have a higher RPM, so you'd need bigger tires or a smaller gear on the wheel to go faster.

  • nice kart!

everyone thats crying about "coal power" needs to get over it. unless your house is 100% solar and your car is too, then your burning more coal then he is. he lives in a hydroelectric town anyhow. there is no reason to call out this guy for at least trying to do his part.

  • NICE-Glad to see you spending time with your son doing such a fun thing as riding go-carts!

  • only indirectly.

    nice coal powered cart!

  • I'm in Washington State, Hydroelectric dams. Grand Coulee, Bonneville, etc..

  • True. But coal-electric is noticeably cleaner than straight gasoline.

It's part economies of scale and part coal just being better.

  • Coal is better than gas.. Uh yeah, okie dokie.. Funny, I don't recall gasoline emitting radioactive compounds into the atmosphere when it's burnt. It doesn't even emit lead anymore, another thing that coal emits. How about mercury, nope, none of that in gasoline either.. Yet it's another emission you get from coal..

  • Eventually coal will be replaced with wind and solar and things like that.

If you are literally burning coal in a vehicle, then yes, it is much worse than gas, but aside from range / performance issues, I'd prefer to burn coal at a power plant than burn gasoline in my own vehicle and have the pollutants flying around where I live and drive.

  • put a fuel motor in it i recomend a honda g200 ive got one on my gocart

  • That wouldn't be very healthy for the environment. This setup doesn't pollute.

  • cool ride

  • where did you get this?

  • I built it.

  • dam that kid is lucky i wish i had 1 of those in my younger child hood

  • lol no kidding that would be a s\ight to see and lol i really want to do that to my go kart

  • You should make one that goes 60 Mph.. That would be crazy to watch the lad in an electric kart go - go - go...

  • I'm test driving my batmobile TUMBLER GO-KART

  • how much did all of this kart cost? ive been wanting to make something like this for a while... but wasnt really sure what i needed... got some parts listed, but it came out waaaaay too expensive

  • good song.

  • I built the Neurotikart (seen in videos here on YouTube), and I really *need* to make something like this. The NK1 and NK2 are fine for irresponsible adults, but a little too much for kids. I like this. Also, it's a lot easier to start with an existing frame and convert, rather than scratch build, as I did. Nice work.

  • Thanks, I appreciate the comments. I'm a big fan of your kart. I picked this frame up on CraigsList for like $20. Anyways, I look forward to seeing videos of your SaneKart.. ;)

  • The kid looks like he is having a blast. With those batteries I bet he could go all day on a charge.

  • what's the cost of it?

  • Wow, really nice project!

I can't believe, that fun can be on 350W motor.

OK, kid weights only 10 grams. But anyway GOOD JOB!

  • where did u get that motor i would use a highpowered winch motor. with 6 car baterries

  • Some website that sells Chinese scooter motors. 6 car batteries, 72volts.. Yeah, I could have gotten a motor for that kind of voltage at the same website. The price would have been a WHOLE LOT more, as would buying 4 more batteries, even these cheap ones at $35 a pop. At some point, I will revisit this project and probably move up to a 1kw motor rather than the 350watt I used this time.

  • 24 volts at 14.58 amps. Not bad at all. I hope to make a 4800 watt (48V X 100A Max) kart. This "kiddy kart" seems to be going 10-15mph, is this right?

Wish I had one of those when I was 6, man thats shcweeet.

  • Nice!

  • most electric go karts for kids are 350 . duh they r light i mean kids ride it the weight limit for kids are usually like 120

  • where did u buy this or did you make it????!!

  • Only 350 watt motor? Wow, I'm impressed! That thing must be incredibly light!

  • hey nice work. whered u get the motors from?

  • week, wtf r u talking about supercaps have lower energy density than batteries... It would make regen. braking would better though.

  • You did a great job!

I would like to see you use a supercapacitor.

You could drive for a week.

Better yet hook up a supercapacitor to a solar panel and charge the supercapacitor on the cart in about 5 minutes, then run it for a week or so before needing recharged.

    Nice job, once again.

  • heheheh, thats if EEStor ever makes their capacitor, it hasn't happened yet, the best supercapacitors currently available from Maxwell could run the gokart for MAYBE a few minutes.

  • EEStor actually made something a while ago. The thing is more energy dense than even LiPo, but charges up to potentials of 3.5kV! O_o

  • First of all just to clear up some possible confusion, V doesn't have much to do with Capacitance ( F ) or even Energy storage (Watt-Hours). More importantly though I have heard nothing about this which is surprising considering I try to keep very up to date about electric vehicle news, please, if this is true, give me a source for it like a website so I can learn more/confirm this.

  • V does actually have a little to do with capacitance (you need more [assuming you don't have better] dielectric to store higher potentials, increasing the space between electrodes and lowering capacitance), and it has EVERYTHING to do with energy storage, per the equation for the energy stored in a capacitor E = 1/2C x V^2. That's why their new module has only 31F, but such high potentials; the energy stored increases exponentially with voltage.

Just Google "eestor 3.5kV 31F" or something.

  • I am a fan of electric powered go kart from the 1950s and 1960s and would like to see more detailed shots of the frame and drive train. I have he original fiberglass body molds for 1957 Tbird, 1958-60 Tbird and 65-66 Mustang but have no frames and drivetrians. Watch my videos to get more info.

  • my power wheels would mash on it...check out my vids

  • how many watts

  • 350, but that motor burned out pretty quick. I'll either go with dual 350watt motors next time, or a single 750..

  • A 350 watt motor is a toy.

  • Not for a 6yr old.

  • Why do you ask how many watts when it's clearly stated in the description? Why can't people shift their eyeballs to the right? Are you a bunch of freakin' zombies?

  • cool kart.

  • who is this song by?

  • Chuck Berry

  • How fast does this go?

  • 13mph

  • im not a fan of this song. but nice video.
