I got the staircase appear and came right after that to this area, but I cant light the candle. When I go face the candles there will be nothing.... Is my FF glitching or did I miss something that triggers the thing?

@Simotin you missed one lantern, same happened to me dont worry its close, you know the library right before this stair case? leave the library and youll come to the right side of this giant room, theres a lantern there.

if thats to complicated and/or i confused you, just remember, right before you enter the library, theres a lantern

@Daibron Thanks mate. Figured it out by myself though... Had to take the previous save right from the beginning of desert palace and run to the end...

if u have water or anything good with vivi summon carbuncle and have reflect on everyone than have vivi cast something on all party members and that will make the attack 4 times stronger my water attack was 8000

You have to make sure that you lit all the candles while coming to this place... and I mean ALL of them. I had the same problem, and had to go back and light the one before the library area

one thing i just don't like is after chapter 4 half of the locations you were on are completly blocked and you don't find that much "diferent enemies"
